KKN Program – Jack Dilday and Rusty Wilson share a timely word: The Faithfulness of God. “God Is Faithful — Even When We Are Not”

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”

— 1 Corinthians 1:9

One of the greatest truths we can learn about God is that He is faithful.

People can change. Circumstances can change. Feelings can change. Even our own faith can become weak.

But God does not change.

When God makes a promise, He keeps it. When God says He will never leave us, He doesn’t. When God begins a work in our lives, He is faithful to continue it.

God is faithful to complete the work that he has began in us.

God’s faithfulness means:

God can be trusted completely.

What Does It Mean That God Is Faithful?

The word faithful carries the idea of Him being:

Reliable

Trustworthy

Constant

Dependable

True to His word

God doesn’t simply have faithfulness.

Faithfulness is part of who God is.

Deuteronomy 7:9

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him…”

Notice what Moses says: “He is God, the faithful God.”

God’s faithfulness isn’t dependent upon our circumstances.

It is dependent upon His character.

KKN Program – Jack Dilday and Rusty Wilson share a timely word: The Goodness of God: Don't Give Up! Galatians 6:9 tells us, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

There is a due season attached to what God is doing.

The danger is not always that God won’t answer.

Sometimes the danger is that we give up before the answer comes.

“Unless I Had Believed”

Heresy the turning point: “…unless I had believed…”

This is the heart of the verse.

David doesn’t say: “Unless I had understood.”

He doesn’t say: “Unless I could explain everything.”

He says: “Unless I had believed.”

There will be seasons when you don’t understand what God is doing. But you can still believe who God is.

Faith doesn’t require an explanation. Faith requires trust!
