  • Matt Philip Stops by the KOKO Pig Pen and the Boys Discuss the Plight of Punch
    2026/02/24

This week on the KOKO Show we got down and dirty with the buff, broad and beautiful captain of the NSW Waratahs Mr Matt Philip. With Matt riding comfortably in our side-car of craziness, the lads chat about the Tahs hot start to 2026, his return home to skipper his childhood team and lastly we play a little game of TRUE of FALSE the Matt Philip edition. Plus, the boys get hot and bothered about round two of the Superb Rugby, talking all things oval ball in the Pacific, as well as, a little trip up North to chat Six Nations footy, focussing heavily on French flare and English despair.

Furthermore, Drew this week has been enamoured about the plight of the Japanese monkey Punch and his hardships he has faced after being disowned and bullied in captivity. Thus, we have launched a new segment where the boys illuminate something in their lives that they just can’t let go of, all whilst holding ‘Hope’ the orangutan of comfort. Lastly but certainly not the least, we are back with a couple of juicy segments to round out the ep, Swoop adds a few more items to his Temu cupboard and the lads play a little game called ‘Guess that Salad’. So sit back, relax and think about how shit England is at rugby. If that can’t make you smile then you must be dead inside, but for now it is time for an all new episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • The KOKO Show is Back for 2026 at the Rugby World Cup Schedule Reveal in Sydney
    2026/02/03

We are back for our first episode of the year and there is no better place to launch our new season than from the 2027 Rugby World Cup Schedule Reveal on the beautiful shores of Sydney Harbour. With the formalities all done and dusted, the games all announced and the William Webb Ellis trophy doing its thing around Australia the lads got to sit down with World Rugby Chair and former Wallaby Brett Robinson for a candid chat about the upcoming tournament.

The boys press Brett on his must watch games for the World Cup, the teams that could shock the competition and what he expects from the opening match between the Wallabies and Hong Kong China in Perth. With the World Cup just around the corner in 2027 it is fair to say that rugby hysteria is at fever pitch down under and KOKO can't wait for it to roll around. Plus, the lads get stuck into a little ‘Other Rugby News’ as they chat about Rock Elsom’s Noosa spotting, Razor getting sacked by the All Blacks and the teammate scuffle at the Waratahs. Lastly, the KOKO crew pick their Six Nations teams for 2026, as well as a full slate of tips for round one this weekend. So fear not our weary faithful, the KOKO has returned and we are ready to make 2026 bigger and better than ever. It’s time for season three of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • KOKO Says Farewell, So Long and See You Next Time to 2025
    2025/11/25

As Andrea Bocelli once said “it’s time to say goodbye” to 2025 and gear up for a very merry silly season filled with rosé, prawns and a little touch of gout. This year for the KOKO show has been an absolute belter, we opened a new stadium in Hong Kong, we welcomed the British and Irish Lions down under and we delivered 48 rib tickling episodes to the people. This week we are rolling out the OG crew one last time to talk about the slate of international games that happened over the weekend, including the French smash up of the Wallabies, the Boks bouncing Ireland, the AB’s getting it done over Wales and England sneaking past the Argentinians. In what has been a topsy turvy year for rugby in Australia we saw it fit to finish the season with a little health check of the Wallabies, to see if McDreamy, McSteamy and McPeggy can still feel a pulse. With all the footy now in the rear vision mirror that lads decided to reflect on the year that was by presenting to you our loyal fans the second annual screening of the ‘KOKO Awards’ - recognising excellence in the fields of footy, fame and fun stuff. Plus, we are the gift that keeps on giving, as you know we have been shredding for summer all thanks to our partnership with WHOOP and today is the day for our grand reveal. Although not all of us hit our targets (or none of us) there is a glorious mid-show medley of man meat that simply can’t be missed. So, before we sign off one final time for 2025, all of us here at KOKO would love to thank you for your loyal and unwavering support of our silly little show. Please keep fighting the good fight, being kind to one another and please keep your eye on Swoop in the wild. It is time for the season finale of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • The KOKO Show and Ben Donaldson Pair Up to Unpack the Walllabies’ Fall From Grace
    2025/11/18

This week on The KOKO Show we are joined in studio by a follically fabulous fly-half, he is a bronzed bombshell from Bondi who should probably be on tour with the Wallabies right now, but what the hell do we know! It is of course the one and only Mr Ben Donaldson. With Benny Boy riding shotgun the lads get candid with their concerns, as they dissect the Wallabies’ record breaking loss to a Mack Hansen powered Irish side in Dublin. The loss to Ireland is one thing for the Wallabies, but the lads appeared to be more shocked by the manner and style in which the Aussies got annihilated in the Emerald Isle. The boys get stuck into a road map of why the Wallabies find themselves in this situation and then they propose some possible ways in which we can right this ship, post the Joe Schmidt era. However, it is not all doom and gloom on the KOKO show as we highlight some of the other games from over the weekend, results that saw England beat the All Blacks in style, Scotland blow a big lead against Argentina and the Springboks beat Italy with only 14 men, AGAIN! As the international year comes to a close, we round the bend with only one week remaining in the Spring Tour and for the Wallabies it is all about leaving a mark against France, drawing a line in the sand that says “the slide stops here”. The KOKO Crew gives you all their predictions heading into round four of the tour, airing a few spicy upsets in the process and telling you who are the dead set locks. To finish the show we step away from the privately educated world of these ra ra raggamuffins to answer a listener question that shows a more human side to the lads - “what is your guilty pleasure no one knows about?’ - let’s just say the answers will knock your cashmere socks off. So sit back, relax, draw yourself a nice long bath and eat a tub of crunchy peanut butter with a spoon. This all new episode of Kick Offs and Kicks Ons is one hell of a therapy session!

  • KOKO Dissects the State of Wallabies After Italy Kicked Them in the Burratas
    2025/11/11

This week on The KOKO Show the lads were a little down in the dumps and we decided that we wouldn't subject a special guest to our somber footy fuelled pizza-less pity party. Thus, we went for a no guest nonsense episode in the hope that with each other's support, love and no mention of Italian cuisine, we might start to make some sense of the Azurri’s shocking defeat over the Wallabies in Udine. The boys in this ep untie the bondage ropes, unfurl the main-sail and shoot from the hip as they search for answers surrounding the apparent regression of Australian rugby post their historical win over the Boks in South Africa. Questions are raised and theories are presented as to why our glorious gold jersey is dipping back into bad habits and playing an inaccurate brand of footy that screams fatigue and self-doubt. However, KOKO isn't just a one stop shop for doom and gloom, as we touch on all the other results from week two of the Spring Tour, matches that saw the Boks bounce the Frogs, the English defeat Fiji, the Pumas pounce on the Welsh and the All Blacks thumb their noses to the thistles. Plus, we take a look forward to week 3 of the tour, previewing and predicting that some teams (the All Blacks) will continue their roll and where others can bounce back from the depths of defeat (the Wallabies). Finally, the lads really lighten the mood of the show by answering a listener's question to take their minds off the on field action and boy does it ruffle a couple of feathers. So sit back, relax and boycott your local Italian businesses, it is very clear that they are doing better than advertised! Alorra ladies and gentlemen, it is time for an all new episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • Ugo Monye Has a Ball on KOKO After England’s Big Win Over the Wallabies
    2025/11/04

This week on The KOKO Show the lads are left to pick up the pieces after watching the Wallabies get put to the sword by a clinical English side over the Weekend. As Australians, there are a few things in life that can completely ruin your day: an increase in petrol prices, a shit coffee, tall poppies and losing to England in absolutely anything. So, being joined on the pod by one of England’s favourite sons Ugo Monye, made the licking of wounds so much harder for the lads as they had to navigate all the salt he was rubbing into them. With Ugo in tow and chipper as hell we broke down the English tidy up at Twickenham, illuminating where the Poms were perfect and why the Aussies couldn't fire a single shot. Ugo also gave us the low down on the English public’s current feelings about their rugby team and who they absolutely hate losing to on the world stage. Plus, we ran our collective footballing IQ’s across all the other international matches that happened over the weekend, results that saw South Africa jump Japan, Scotland make light work of the USA and the All Blacks pull apart the Irish. Finally, the KOKO crew look forward to next weekend as the Wallabies shape up to take on the Italians in Udine, whilst also previewing all the other big international matches on the card. So, to all my fellow Australians, lift up your chins, raise up your voices and say something mean to your local English import. It is time to forget about last weekend’s result, move on to next week’s match and enjoy the soothing sounds of an all new episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.
