Today, we're diving into a brand-new feature just released last week: the Kajabi Paywall. This exciting addition allows you to offer different levels of access within a single course product. It's a significant upgrade for Kajabi users, providing both a seamless experience for customers and efficient product management for creators. How the Paywall Works With the Paywall, you can set up various access levels-such as free previews and paid content-within one course. This means you only need to use one of your product quotas, simplifying your course management. To activate the Paywall, go into your course product settings. Scroll down until you see the option to enable the Paywall. Once you activate it, you’ll be prompted to select an offer that will unlock the rest of the course after the Paywall. Kajabi will then create a limited-use version of your product in the background. You’ll also be asked to give this limited version a unique name. For example, if you have a course called "Kajabi Code," you might name the limited version "Kajabi Code Freebie." This helps distinguish between the free and full-access versions of your course. Setting Up and Customizing the Paywall After enabling the Paywall and naming your limited-access product, save your settings. Next, go to your course outline. You’ll see a Paywall marker, which you can drag to the desired position-usually after the first module. Everything above the Paywall will be accessible in the limited-use version, while everything below will be locked unless the user upgrades. This setup isn’t limited to just free and paid levels; you can also create multiple tiers, such as paid and premium paid content. User Experience and Benefits From the student’s perspective, they can browse the entire course outline, seeing all modules, graphics, thumbnails, and descriptions-even for locked content. However, they won’t be able to access the lessons behind the Paywall unless they upgrade. This approach sparks curiosity and highlights the value of upgrading to full access. For creators, it means you can integrate multiple access levels into a single product, providing a smooth experience for your users and making the most of your Kajabi product quotas. Managing Offers and Upgrades When creating a new offer and adding your course product, you’ll now see the limited-use version you named earlier (e.g., "Kajabi Code Freebie") as an option. By default, users will enter at this limited-access level. Once inside, they’ll have the opportunity to upgrade to the full version if they wish. Conclusion The new Paywall feature in Kajabi represents a significant advancement for course creators, enabling you to easily combine free and premium content within a single course. This tool streamlines your workflow, encourages user engagement by allowing previews, and provides a clear path for users to upgrade to full access. By offering value upfront, you can build trust and increase the likelihood of converting curious visitors into paying customers. The Paywall also helps protect your premium content, ensuring only authorized users can access it. Overall, it’s a powerful addition that can boost your course sales and enhance the learning experience for your audience.

Today, we're diving into a fantastic new feature recently added to Kajabi: the Cart. Before we get started, a quick reminder about Kajabi's current promotion-three months for $99. If you're not already a Kajabi user, now is a great time to join. Check the notes below for more details. What is the Kajabi Cart? The Kajabi Cart is an exciting feature designed for e-commerce and selling bundles, functioning much like a traditional online shop. Previously, Kajabi's Offer page allowed you to purchase only one offer at a time. With the new Cart, you can now add multiple offers and even select multiple quantities of each offer, all in a single checkout process. While this may not be necessary for everyone, it's a valuable addition for those who need it. How to Set Up the Cart To get started, log in to your Kajabi dashboard and navigate to the Sales section, where you'll find the Cart option. Click on Cart to begin the initial setup. Here, you can customize your Cart page, which displays the different offers, their quantities, and allows users to remove items. The Cart also features a unique checkout process similar to the pop-out offer checkout, rather than the traditional checkout page. Within the Cart settings, you can adjust basic language, colors, and set up your payment provider. Updating Your Website Pages For the Cart feature to work, your website or landing pages must be up to date. To update a website page, go to Websites > Design. At the top, click on your website’s name or theme, then select Update. Once your site is current, you can add the Cart functionality to any button on your pages. Adding the "Add to Cart" Button On any updated website or landing page, you can assign the "Add to Cart" action to any button-whether it's in a text box, a call-to-action, a feature, or a price box. This allows visitors to add items directly to their Cart. It's important to note that your page must have a visible header, as the Cart icon appears there. Without a header, users won't be able to see or access their Cart. Testing the Cart Feature To test the Cart, go to your Pages, select Landing Pages, and create a new page. Add buttons and set their action to "Add to Cart." Choose your offers and ensure the header is enabled and visible on both desktop and mobile layouts. Preview your page to see the Cart in action-add items, view the Cart, and proceed to checkout. Enabling Multiple Quantities If you want customers to select more than one of an offer, you need to enable multiple quantities for that offer. From the Kajabi dashboard, go to Sales > Offers, select the relevant offer, and navigate to the pricing section. There, you'll find an option to enable multiple quantities. Remember, some offers can allow quantity selection while others may not, depending on your settings. Using Cart Coupons Kajabi now allows you to create Cart-specific coupons. These can be applied when customers add items to their Cart, offering special discounts for Cart purchases. Explore the Coupons section to set up these new options. Conclusion Kajabi's new Cart feature is a powerful tool for anyone selling products or bundles, giving your customers the flexibility to build their own packages. With Cart-specific coupons and the ability to add multiple items and quantities, this update brings new possibilities to your Kajabi site. Check out these features and see how they can enhance your sales process! Ready to try the new Cart feature? Update your Kajabi site and start experimenting today!

Episode Overview Introduction to the Kajabi Basic Plan

Hello and welcome to another episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes. Today, we're discussing the Kajabi Basic plan, which is ideal for those starting out or with less complex business operations. This plan is more affordable than the Growth plan, costing $149 per month, with a 20% discount available for annual payments, bringing it down to $119 monthly.

Key Features of the Basic Plan

The Basic plan provides essential features such as a website, three products, 10,000 contacts, unlimited emails, landing pages, and funnels. It also allows for one user to be added to your account, which is useful for assistants or service providers. The 10,000 contact limit is generous, and users can manage their list by checking insights to see who is subscribed or unsubscribed.

When to Upgrade to the Growth Plan

A common question is when to move from the Basic to the Growth plan. The Growth plan costs $199 per month and offers significant upgrades, including 15 products and advanced automations. Users might need to upgrade if they require more products, such as for a membership site with multiple components, or if they need advanced conditional logic-based automations for segmenting and personalizing content.

    Flexibility in Plan Upgrades

Kajabi allows users to switch between plans, making it easy to try out the Growth plan from the Basic if needed. However, once you move from the Kickstarter plan, you cannot return to it. The Basic plan provides ample room for growth and may be sufficient for many users' needs.

    Conclusion

The Kajabi Basic plan offers a robust set of features that cater well to new businesses or those with simpler operations. With its affordability and generous limits, it provides a solid foundation for growth. As businesses expand or require more complex functionalities, upgrading to the Growth plan can provide the necessary tools for advanced automation and product management. Whether you're just starting out or scaling up, understanding the capabilities of each plan can help you make informed decisions about your business needs.

  • Kajabi Settings for Email Sequences and Drip Content
    2025/04/07
Episode 40 Summary In this episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes, we discuss important but often overlooked settings in Kajabi. We cover the importance of managing unsubscribed contacts, especially if they are customers, and highlight two key settings: the default time for sending email sequences and the default time for dripping course content. These settings can help manage timing and notifications effectively. I’ve got some things that may help you with Kajabi: Kajabi in 5 Minutes YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Kajabiin5Minutes Kajabi 30 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/30days-kajabi Kajabi Blog: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/blog Kajabi Code course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/code Kajabi SEO course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/seo These next promotions are only active for a short time throughout the year 3 Months for $99: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/3months-for-99 60 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/60-day-trial 50% off for 12 Months: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/kajabi-half-price Episode Overview Introduction to Email Engagement and Unsubscribed Contacts Last week's discussion on email engagement led to further exploration of related topics. This week, the focus is on a couple of hidden settings in Kajabi that are worth noting. Before diving into these settings, it's important to address a common practice when managing email lists. When filtering through unsubscribed contacts, it might be tempting to delete them, especially since Kajabi has limits on the number of contacts allowed in each plan. However, caution is advised because some unsubscribed individuals might be customers who have purchased products but simply do not want to receive emails. Managing Unsubscribed Customers It's crucial to recognize which unsubscribed contacts are customers. These individuals may have bought something from you and are still engaged with your products, even if they don't want to receive emails. Sometimes, customers might not even realize they are unsubscribed. Therefore, it's important not to remove these profiles from your list, as they are still valuable customers. Default Time for Email Sequences In Kajabi's Settings area, under Marketing Settings, there is an option to set a default time for sending email sequences. This setting is often overlooked because when building email sequences, you can specify when each email is sent (e.g., day one, day two). However, this setting determines the exact time of day and time zone for all sequences. This is particularly useful if you're working in a different time zone than where you want your emails to be sent. You can adjust the time and time zone for new sequences, and also change these settings for existing sequences by editing their individual settings. Default Time for Dripping Course Content Another important setting is found under Drip Settings, just below Marketing Settings. Here, you can set the default time for dripping course content. It's beneficial to set this early in the morning to ensure that content is available to students early in the day. This can prevent confusion if students expect content to be available but don't see it because it hasn't been dripped yet. Additionally, you can toggle whether an email notification is sent when new content is available. This notification uses the default email templates found in settings. Conclusion These settings can significantly improve how you manage email sequences and course content in Kajabi. By understanding and adjusting these settings, you can enhance the timing and delivery of your communications and content, ensuring a smoother experience for both you and your audience.

  • Kajabi Email Insights: Boosting Engagement with Contact List Analysis
    2025/03/31
Episode 39 Summary In this episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes, we explore the importance of email engagement and contact list insights in Kajabi. The platform offers tools to analyze subscriber engagement, categorizing contacts as healthy, passive, unengaged, or inactive based on their interaction with emails. By leveraging these insights, you can tailor your email strategy to re-engage inactive subscribers or remove them to improve your sender reputation. I’ve got some things that may help you with Kajabi: Kajabi in 5 Minutes YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Kajabiin5Minutes Kajabi 30 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/30days-kajabi Kajabi Blog: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/blog Kajabi Code course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/code Kajabi SEO course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/seo These next promotions are only active for a short time throughout the year 3 Months for $99: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/3months-for-99 60 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/60-day-trial 50% off for 12 Months: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/kajabi-half-price Episode Overview Introduction to Email Engagement in Kajabi Hello and welcome to another episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes. This episode focuses on email engagement and your contact list insights in Kajabi. Everyone knows that the contact list or email list is crucial for your online business, as it's how you connect with your audience and engage with them. It's something you own, and growing this list is a key goal. In Kajabi, you can view all your contacts and track growth, which is satisfying. However, Kajabi offers more than just a list view; it provides an Insights area that makes your list more useful. Exploring Kajabi Insights In the Insights area of Kajabi, you can see valuable information at a glance. This includes all your contacts, new additions over the last 30 days, subscribers, and customers who have made purchases. It also shows activity levels among customers over the past 30 days. Additionally, you can view details about unsubscribed contacts, both total and recent. This data helps you understand the dynamics of your list. Understanding Subscriber Engagement Metrics Kajabi offers four key metrics for subscriber engagement: healthy contacts, passive contacts, unengaged contacts, and inactive contacts. These are based on two engagement methods: Clicks and Opens. Opens can be toggled on or off due to ambiguity in tracking email opens caused by privacy laws and mail client interactions. A healthy contact is someone who has engaged within the last 90 days, while passive contacts have engaged between 90 and 180 days ago. Unengaged contacts haven't interacted for 180 days, and inactive contacts haven't engaged for about 270 days but remain subscribed. Leveraging Engagement Insights for Better Engagement With these insights, you can tailor your email strategy. For example, you might target passive contacts with different content to re-engage them. If that doesn't work, you could send a compelling email to inactive contacts to catch their attention. If they still don't engage, removing them from your list can improve your sending metrics by focusing on more engaged subscribers. This approach helps maintain a good sender reputation and avoids spam filters. Kajabi allows you to filter contacts by engagement level, enabling targeted campaigns. Conclusion Kajabi's Insights area is a powerful tool for enhancing email engagement. By understanding and leveraging these metrics, you can refine your email strategy to build a more engaged and valuable list. If you haven't explored the Insights area yet, take a look to see how it can help you optimize your email marketing efforts. Tune in next week for another episode!

Episode Overview Introduction to Kajabi Community

Hello and welcome to Kajabi in 5 Minutes. This week, we're discussing the Kajabi Community feature, which has been significantly enhanced over the past year. Kajabi is known for listening to customer feedback and continuously improving its products. The new Community feature is no exception, offering a robust set of tools to engage with your audience.

    How the Community Works

The Kajabi Community uses one of your products as a base and allows you to create Access Groups. These groups were previously separate products but are now more flexible, enabling you to have multiple tiers of engagement without using additional products. You can have free or paid Access Groups, each associated with different levels of content or engagement within your community.

    Features of the Community

    The Community offers several features:

    • Feed: A forum-style area where members can post updates.

Episode Transcript Introduction to the Kickstarter Plan

Hello and welcome to another episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes. Today, we're discussing the Kickstarter plan, which is Kajabi's lowest-priced plan. Introduced in 2024 and updated in early 2025, this plan is designed for those starting out. It costs $89 per month, with a 20% discount if paid annually, bringing it down to $71.

    Features of the Kickstarter Plan

The Kickstarter plan has some key features and limitations. It allows for up to 250 contacts in your email list. If your list grows beyond this, you'll need to upgrade to the Basic plan. However, there is no limit on the number of paying customers you can have. You get one product, which could be a course, coaching product, or other digital content, and access to the community feature. Additionally, you can create unlimited landing pages and send up to 7,500 emails.

    Benefits and Limitations

The plan is ideal for starting a business without high upfront costs. It allows you to set up a website, build an email list, and start selling products. Once your business grows, it's easier to transition to the Basic plan, which supports up to 10,000 contacts and offers more products. The community feature in the Kickstarter plan is a bonus, as it counts as one of your products in higher plans.

    Alternative Options

For those who find the Kickstarter plan too extensive, Kajabi offers a free Link in Bio account. This allows you to create a simple one-page website, add forms and links, and even collect payments. It's a great tool for enhancing your social media presence without needing full Kajabi features.

    Conclusion

The Kickstarter plan by Kajabi is a fantastic starting point for entrepreneurs looking to launch their business without breaking the bank. With its affordable pricing and essential features like a community, unlimited landing pages, and generous email limits, it provides a solid foundation for growth. As your business expands, transitioning to higher plans becomes more manageable, allowing you to scale your operations seamlessly. Whether you opt for the Kickstarter plan or the free Link in Bio account, Kajabi offers flexible solutions to help you build momentum and achieve your business goals.
