  • Episode 3: Grace, Overwhelm, and Letting Go
    2023/04/11

In this podcast episode, Erica Trinette discusses grace, overwhelm, and letting go. Grace is defined as the unmerited favor and kindness of God, and it can be applied to various aspects of our lives. However, when we experience overwhelm, it can be challenging to access grace because we feel like we need to do everything ourselves.

One way to access grace is to let go of the things that don't serve you or your purpose. When we surrender our desires and expectations, we can experience a sense of peace and trust in the outcome. This can be particularly useful when we are feeling overwhelmed; letting go allows us to release the burden of responsibility and trust that things will work out in our favor and exactly as they should.

You are encouraged to embrace vulnerability and accept help from others. Often, when we are overwhelmed, we feel like we need to do everything ourselves and asking for help is a sign of weakness. However, when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and accept help from others, we create opportunities for connection and growth.

Overall, this podcast episode encourages listeners to embrace grace, let go of what you know isn't working, and seek support from others when feeling overwhelmed. By doing so, we can experience a greater sense of peace, trust, connection, and purpose in our lives.

  • Episode 2: Barriers to Being Yourself
    2023/03/07

In episode two of the Just Be podcast, host Erica Trinette will discuss the various barriers that prevent people from being their authentic selves. In this episode, Erica will discuss the following barriers to being yourself: comparison, fear, and lack of trying.

    Barrier One: Comparison

Comparison is one of the biggest barriers people face. People might compare themselves to people they see on social media, celebrities, colleagues, friends, and peers. It's easy to fall into a deep and dark hole of self-pity when comparing ourselves to others, but it's important to remember that everyone's journey is different.

The best way to deal with comparison is to simply stop. Accept where you are, and focus on the present moment.

    Barrier Two: Fear

Many people fear that being their authentic selves isn't good enough for others. But when we put on a fake persona, people around us have false expectations based on that persona. The solution is to start small - choose one way to show up as your authentic self and gradually build from there.

    Barrier Three: Lack of Trying

This barrier is not due to laziness but rather a lack of understanding of how to be our authentic selves. The world around us constantly shows us what "normal" looks like, causing us to aspire to be something we're not. To overcome this, it's important to find ourselves within ourselves, rather than relying on outside sources such as TV or social media.
