    6. Will tariffs increase inequality?

    7. I’m looking to grow my business and see you post a lot on social media. Are you using some kind of marketing consultant for this or was it all your own initiative?

  • Episode 118: IN FOCUS: One Big Beautiful Bill Act - Overview & Planning Ideas with Marty Shenkman (Shenkman Law)
    2025/07/23

Join Jonathan I. Shenkman, President & CIO of ParkBridge Wealth Management, as he goes “IN FOCUS” to explore more advanced wealth planning topics.

This week, we will go IN FOCUS where we cover more advanced wealth planning topics.

Today, we are joined by Martin M. Shenkman of Shenkman Law, who will discuss a the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act: Overview & Planning Ideas.”

By way of background, the Big Beautiful Bill, or The One, Big, Beautiful Bill, or OBBBA was passed on July 3 and President Trump signed the bill into law on July 4th. The House and Senate each passed the BBB by razor thin margins with most votes on party lines. The bill is massive in terms of spending, tax changes and more. Some of the changes, with a particular focus on estate planning, will be reviewed below. The focus will be on what some of the Big Beautiful Bill changes mean to your estate plan.

In very general terms the Big Beautiful Bill extends many of the expiring provisions from the 2017 Trump tax cuts contained in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It enacts several Trump campaign promises and tax priorities (e.g., “no” taxes on certain tips and overtime pay). The Big Beautiful Bill ends many clean energy tax incentives. This episode will cover a variety of ways this bill impacts your financial and estate plan.

We are both professionals but beyond sending our six kids to yeshiva, and owning our home (we live in the NYC city area), we go on one trip to Miami once a year (to stay at our in-laws apartment). We quite literally don't have any more wiggle room. What are we doing wrong?
