Lauren Sanchez and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos are preparing for their highly anticipated wedding, set to take place in Venice, Italy this June. According to Times of India, the couple will host a lavish, multi-day celebration potentially from June 24-26. Reality Tea reports that music superstars Lady Gaga and Sir Elton John have reportedly been invited to perform at the event, though these claims remain unconfirmed.
The couple made their first public appearance since facing criticism over a Blue Origin spaceflight when they were spotted enjoying the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, California on April 27. Times of India notes they were seen walking hand in hand through the crowd dressed in casual festival outfits complete with cowboy hats.
Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro has confirmed that the couple will host their nuptials in the historic Italian city, stating "We are mutually working and supporting the organizers, to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city." The mayor added that only 200 guests will be invited and the event won't disrupt the city.
Geo TV reports that despite their tradition of attending the Met Gala, Bezos and Sanchez skipped this year's event on May 5, where the theme was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." An insider suggested that Vogue might be covering their wedding as Anna Wintour is reportedly in talks with the couple, though "nothing is settled yet."
Beyond wedding preparations, Sanchez continues her philanthropic and entrepreneurial activities. On her Instagram, she promotes her children's book "The Fly Who Flew To Space" which aims to inspire kids to chase their dreams.
Sanchez also turned heads at Donald Trump's 2025 inauguration earlier this year, with observers noting her significant transformation has been developing for some time.
The couple, who got engaged in May 2023 after two years of planning, are now preparing for what's being called one of the most talked-about weddings of 2025.
