Japanese Grand Prix was BORING, Darlington Throwback, D.J. Broke His Foot

  • サマリー

  • We're back with another episode of F-R Racing's Garage Talk. In this week's episode we go over how BORING the F1 Japanese Grand Prix was, throwback weekend at Darlington, and D.J. broke his foot.To kick off the show, we announce our brand new partner, Nixon Watch Company. We're excited to become part of the Nixon family and proud to call Nixon the official watch of F-R Racing. To learn more, visit https://frracingonline.com/nixon (affiliate link).

Next up, we address the elephant in the room of why D.J. was back in the broadcast booth for the Indy Racing World Series race at Mid-Ohio. What D.J. was originally told was a left foot sprain, was actually a small break and during his testing/practice for Mid-Ohio his foot swelled up so he opted to sit this one out. It worked out ok because Taka forgot his Display Port to HDMI adapter and only had one monitor, shifting D.J. over to the first seat for the event.

Next, we discuss how the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix was incredibly BORING to the point even Oscar Piastri was surprised by the lack of highlights while in the cooldown room. There was more interesting drama during practice and qualification including Max Verstappen's unexpected record breaking lap in Q3.

After that, we discuss NASCAR throwback weekend at Darlington. How was the race? Is throwback weekend still necessary? If they do continue with it, what should the limit be?

We close it out talking about what's on TV including the Amazon Prime series "First to the Finish" featuring friend of the show, MX-5 Cup driver Heather Hadley. D.J. made it through episode one and hopes to finish the next episodes in the next week. He also discusses how you should be watching "The Studio" on Apple TV+.
