    Lauri Lassila is one of the greatest moguls skiers in Finnish history. Lauri finished 5th at the Olympics in 1998 and was top 3 in the world 3 different times. He is a 2 time World Championship Medalist, with a silver and a bronze in 1999. He had 5 World Cup podiums, 17 top 5 finishes and 37 top 10 finishes. He was also a Junior World Champion. He was a part of the greatest run in Finnish mogul skiing history with some of his teammates Janne Lahtela, Sami Mustonen, Mikko Ronkanien and Tapio Luusua. Lauri is married to Olympic Gold, Bronze medalist and World Champion Lydia Lassila and in this episode we discuss their family and the next generation of Freestyle skiers.     Nick Preston is a legend in the sport of freestyle skiing. He has spent over 40 years in the sport of freestyle. He has coached more than 50 people to the US Ski Team, 13 Olympians and 3 Olympic Gold Medalists, Nikki Stone, Hannah Kearney, and Ashley Caldwell. He has won coach of the year multiple times and was a former coach for the US Ski Team. He was the director at Waterville Valley from 1980-2015 and founded Freestyle America in 1983 with his wife Suzi which continues to run today and is the longest continuously running freestyle camp in the US. Nick and his wife were also former competitors while coaching in the sport. Nick has been instrumental in the growth of Freestyle and he continues to influence the sport he loves.     Joe Fitzgerald is a Canadian Ski Hall Of Fame Member and former FIS Race Director. He has spent over 40 years in the sport of freestyle and has had multiple roles across the sport. He was the FIS Race Director for the Olympic Winter Games from 1998-2018 and was a consultant at the 2022 and 2026 games. He directed the FIS World Championships from 1997-2019 and supervised over 750 World Cup competitions from 1996 to 2020. He has been a Chief of Competition, Technical Delegate and National Team Leader. Joe has been instrumental in the growth of Freestyle and continues to consult and influence the sport he loves.     Garth Hager is a former freestyle mogul skier who had 4 World Cup podiums, 1 World Cup Win, was a 4X National Champion, and Bumps N’ Jumps Champion. During Garth’s skiing career he started a summer ski camp with a few other athletes called Camp Revolution. After Garth’s career as an athlete he turned to coaching full time and was the Head Coach for Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, and then became an assistant for the US Ski Team for 9 years coaching a laundry list of successful athletes to career best results including one of the greatest of all time Hannah Kearney. He was named National Coach of the Year twice and was awarded the Medal of Ikkos be Hannah in 2014 for all of his efforts. Garth then became the Head Coach for the US Ski Team and spent time as the Head Coach for Aspen as well.     Jon O’Brien is a legendary freestyle coach and the founder and director of Wasatch Freestyle. Jon has been coaching for over 30 years and during his time with Wasatch Freestyle he has coached over 20 athletes to the US Ski Team. He has coached Olympic Medalists, World Champions, National Champions and Junior National Champions. He was a USSA Intermountain Team coach, and past Assistant Mogul coach for the US Freestyle Ski Team. Jon was the coach of the British Freestyle Ski Team at the 2002 Winter Olympics and coached the U.S. Jr. Mogul Team at F.I.S. Jr. Worlds. In 2022, he was inducted into YSA Hall of Fame.     Dylan Walczyk is an Olympian and a current member of the US Ski Team. Dylan has been on the US Team for 12 years. During his career Dylan has skied over 130 World Cups, has been a member of 6 World Championship Teams and was a member of the 2022 Olympic team in Beijing. He has 2 World Cup podiums and has finished top 10 in the world 4 times. He has 41 top 10 finishes and 11 top 5 finishes. Dylan is also the only athlete to win the Nor-Am Tour 3 different times. Dylan has recently launched an instructional ski channel called Steezy Joe Network with Ski Instructor Michael Schaefer, to help spread his passion for mogul skiing.
