  • Let’s Get Political
    2025/05/01

We are not afraid to "get political" on this podcast because politics impact so much of our daily lives, especially right now.

If you want to learn more about sustainable farming, gardening, canning, and preserving, check out University of Maine Cooperative Extension

If you want some help calling your senators and representatives to talk about issues that are important to you, check out 5calls.org.

If you want to find a group in Maine to get involved with and find ways to have a hand in resistance efforts across the state, check out https://www.maineresists.com/organizing-resources.

If you want to learn about events happening around Maine, check out Activate Maine's event calendar.

Take care of yourself. We know things are moving very fast and things are very uncertain and scary right now, but it is okay to pause and take a breath. We cannot help make change if we are not taking care of ourselves.

  • Social Media, Self Diagnosing, and Solidarity
    2024/10/07

Well listeners, we are back and maybe better than ever?

After some restructuring and re-evaluating, Jordan and Maisy are back in the game and ready to get into it. While our episodes may be less frequent, our hope is that they'll actually be more consistent.

In this episode, we talk about how social media has created a rise in self diagnosing and the impact that can have on our sense of identity and wellbeing. We also share some insight into how to begin to connect with mental health resources, what to look for in a provider, and how to start to take control of your mental health.

Despite going a little off the rails at times, we hope this episode shines a light on how to get the help you need from somewhere other than Tiktok 😬
