  • Episode 5: Everything is Figureoutable

This episode is about practical optimism and personal agency, not pretending things aren’t hard.

When life feels overwhelming, the answer isn’t toxic positivity or “just be grateful.” Sometimes you need to crash out, cry, feel it fully, and then get back up and figure it out. That’s the real work.

In this episode, I talk through the mindset that has carried me through anxiety, uncertainty, and moments where everything felt like too much. We unpack what “everything is figureoutable” actually means, where that belief came from, and why it’s not about denying reality but refusing helplessness.

I share how I calm myself down before problem-solving, why I run worst-case scenario analyses instead of avoiding them, and how creativity is often the missing ingredient when things feel stuck. We also talk about permission to feel your feelings without staying down, and the difference between resilience and repression.

This is not a motivational speech.
It’s a real-time walk through how to regain footing when life feels chaotic.

Crash out if you need to.
    Then figure it out.

  • Episode 4: There’s Nothing Secure About Your Job
    2026/01/25

We’re taught from childhood that a good job equals security. Follow the rules, be dependable, stay loyal, and you’ll be safe.

That story is outdated at best and dangerous at worst.

In this episode, I talk through the myth of job security and why at-will employment was never designed to protect workers, no matter how competent, hardworking, or committed they are. We unpack how many of us were conditioned to be employees instead of owners, followers instead of leaders, and why betting on yourself feels scarier than it actually is.

This is not an episode telling everyone to quit their job or become an entrepreneur. It’s a conversation about expanding how you think about safety, stability, and power. We talk about diversifying your skills, your income potential, and your sense of identity so your livelihood isn’t tied to a single institution’s decision.

We also get honest about why jobs feel safer than they are, why layoffs are treated like surprises instead of features of the system, and how comfort and familiarity often masquerade as security.

If you’ve ever felt anxious about your job, guilty for wanting more autonomy, or unsure how to start trusting yourself outside of traditional employment structures, this episode is for you.

    No fear-mongering.
    No hustle culture.
Just a reality check and a wider lens.

  • Episode 3: Being the Strong Friend is Actually Mad Weak
    2026/01/18

We’re taught that being “the strong one” is something to be proud of. The reliable friend. The person who doesn’t need much. The one who just handles things.

    But denying yourself isn’t strength. It’s self-erasure.

In this episode, I talk through how masking your needs, pushing through discomfort, and refusing support doesn’t make you resilient. It makes you emotionally irrelevant in your own life and in the lives of the people who actually care about you.

Using my recent decision to request accommodations at both work and school as a backdrop, I reflect on how deeply ingrained self-denial can become, especially for people who are used to being capable, dependable, and low-maintenance. This isn’t an episode about disability or labels. It’s about self-advocacy, self-respect, and unlearning the idea that suffering quietly is a virtue.

We talk about why “thugging it out” is often mistaken for strength, how refusing help cuts you off from connection, and why asking for what you need is not a weakness but a skill most people were never taught.

This is a conversation about choosing sustainability over performance, and presence over pride.

    No shame.
    No savior complex.
    Just perspective.

  • Episode 2: Why Your Vision Board Is Just a Party Favor, Friend
    2026/01/11

    Vision boards aren’t broken.
But the way you use them is.

In this episode, I unpack why vision boards so often fail to produce real change and why that failure isn’t personal. It’s structural. What began as a daily, intentional practice rooted in imagination, action, and responsibility has been watered down into an aesthetic activity we revisit once a year and forget by February.

We talk about the spiritual and philosophical roots of visualization, how creativity precedes material reality, and why ideas without action are just fantasies. I also explore what happens when meaningful practices get mainstreamed. The meaning gets stripped, the aesthetics get added, and the responsibility quietly disappears.

This is not an episode about making a “better” vision board.
It’s about understanding why intention without discipline doesn’t work, why hope is often mistaken for action, and why most people were never taught to sustain focus long enough for anything to manifest.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated, disillusioned, or quietly blamed yourself because your vision board didn’t change your life, this conversation is for you.

    No how-to.
    No checklist.
    Just perspective.

  • Episode 1: What This Podcast Is and What It Is Not
    2026/01/09

This is the introduction to I’m Not Gonna Hold Your Hand When I Say This.

In this first episode, Keena Moffett introduces the intention behind the podcast, the voice behind the mic, and the kinds of conversations this space is built for. Longtime YouTuber and creative thinker, Keena steps away from polished visuals and algorithms to speak more directly about patterns, power, money, relationships, identity, and the things people sense but rarely say out loud.

This is not a how-to podcast and it’s not about comfort. It’s a place for honest observation, independent thought, and conversations that don’t need hand-holding to land.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re thinking five steps ahead while everyone else is pretending not to notice what’s obvious, this podcast is for you.

    Start here.
