Bryan talks about why he decided to finally finish a book he first started back in 2018—and why it has nothing to do with becoming famous or selling a million copies. The first volume of I’m Leaving Right After This Drink: A Life in Stories, One Round at a Time is called Don’t Tell Mom, filled with stories about growing up, radio, concerts, friends, road trips and plenty of things his mother probably shouldn't know about. But this episode is really about something bigger: that thing you've been saying you're going to do someday. Write the book. Learn guitar. Take the trip. Start the podcast. At some point, you've just gotta get off your ass and do it.
