    Genesis Chapter 11, Verse 6

    “If, as one people with one language for all, this is how they have begun to act, then nothing that they may propose to do will be out of their reach. וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֗ה הֵ֣ן עַ֤ם אֶחָד֙ וְשָׂפָ֤ה אַחַת֙ לְכֻלָּ֔ם וְזֶ֖ה הַחִלָּ֣ם לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת וְעַתָּה֙ לֹֽא־יִבָּצֵ֣ר מֵהֶ֔ם כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָזְמ֖וּ לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת׃

    Today, we explore the story of The Tower of Babel and make comparisons to modern Artificial Intelligence technology. I address the question of whether or not we have a moral responsibility to keep AI under control. Is AI our modern Babel or will we find a way to use it with care.

    I hope you will take time to consider this question and discuss with the people you love.

    Genesis Chapter 1, Verse 2

    Now the earth was in complete disorder, and darkness was on the face of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the water. וְהָאָ֗רֶץ הָֽיְתָ֥ה תֹ֨הוּ֙ וָבֹ֔הוּ וְח֖שֶׁךְ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י תְה֑וֹם וְר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֔ים מְרַחֶ֖פֶת עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הַמָּֽיִם:

    In this episode, I emphasize the fact that when God created the universe, everything was out of control and disorganized. During the process of creation, God takes that "primordial stuff" and uses it to create our beautiful world.

    Today, we can become partners with God in the ongoing creation of the world. By bringing a bit of love to others, we can take an increasingly challenging world to bring healing and peace.
