  • Party In The Park
    2025/09/07

Kane Moore was a classic North Queensland larrikin—goofy, big-hearted, outdoorsy. He grew up by the river, loved his motorbike, doted on the family’s German shepherd Poppy, and wore the kind of haircut that got him in strife at school. He lived with his dad and sister just minutes from Rupertswood Park, where he and his mates often hung out.

Then, in April 2023, Kane’s aunt Katie and his sister walked into that same park and found him lying on the grass gone. What follows are the frantic calls, the first statements, and the question that won’t let his family go: if this was a tragic mistake, why has no one come forward?

  • Left Behind In The Park
    2025/09/07

At a low-key hangout in Rupertswood Park, Kane sits among friends; minutes later he’s gone—his esky and a half-finished drink still on the ground.
Calls to his phone begin at 10:11 pm and go unanswered as the night wears on.

By morning, police swarm the scene, but one question hangs in the air, how was he lying only metres away—and nobody saw him

  • Four Minutes in the Park
    2025/09/14

We dig into the moment everything turns: a de-identified teen says he drove through the park for “around four minutes” and saw what he thought was someone sleeping on the ground.
The coroner’s finding is stark—Kane died when a vehicle accidentally drove over him—yet despite CCTV identifying two cars that night, both were later excluded when their wheel span and tyre impressions didn’t match the marks near where Kane was found.
Police seized cars and interviewed witnesses, but the darkness in the park made seeing anything—let alone a body—exceptionally hard.
For Kane’s family, one question still haunts everything: if it was an accident, why didn’t the driver stop?
