How many years have you spent trying to fix a body that was never broken?

I’m done with the noise. The diets. The beauty rules. The fear of aging. The constant message that our bodies should be smaller, younger, prettier, tighter, different.

In this episode, I get personal about the years I spent looking outside myself for answers—and what it’s taken to finally stop fighting my body and start listening to her.

Because maybe the rebellion isn’t changing our bodies.

Maybe it’s trusting them again.

We end with a short meditation to turn down everyone else’s voice and come back to the one that’s been there all along.

This mix-media cover was born out of expansion, tears and passion this week. As I was creating this, I went back through the years and realized how long it has taken, how long I listened to others, and how many mistakes I have made to finally really listen to my body heart & soul.

In Episode 2: The Rules We Inherit and generational trauma we pass on to our children!

Opening question: “Which rules about being a girl and a parent did you inherit without ever choosing them?”

What does it mean to raise our daughters differently than we were raised? In this episode, I reflect on how I was raised by a Mexican father who used physical and verbal abuse because of bible verse, spare the rod spoil the child and the rules as a girl.

This is the generational trauma and patterns I chose not to pass on to my daughter, and the balance between guiding our daughters.kids and giving them space to become fully themselves without the need for abuse.

Closing question:“What did you inherit that you no longer want to pass on to your kids?” It stops with us!

In this first episode, I share a little of my story.

How, as a girl, I felt full of magic, curiosity, and possibility, and how somewhere along the way, conditioning, expectations, and simply surviving pulled me away from parts of myself.

We explore the pieces we leave behind as life gets serious, and the questions that can help us remember who we were before all the noise. Let's bring those part of us that we left behind to the present moment. There is still time!

The drawing in the center was made by my daughter when she was younger, and it reminded me of how unseen I once felt—and how many parts of myself like the dreams I had left behind that simply wanted to be seen. The butterflies symbolize freedom, while the brick wall represents the walls I built to protect myself. The music notes honor how deeply music has carried me through my life.
