The story shifts to Jesus calling Levi—an outcast tax collector—to follow Him, and Levi immediately leaves everything behind. Jesus then eats with Levi’s friends, shocking the religious leaders who cannot comprehend His willingness to sit with sinners. Jesus responds that He came not for the righteous but for the sick, showing His heart for the broken and the excluded. Together, these stories reveal a Savior who forgives freely, welcomes boldly, and calls ordinary people into extraordinary grace.
