    Welcome to the very first episode of De/դէ, a podcast about culture, identity, and everyday life in Armenia and the Armenian diaspora.


    Hosted by Dickran and Hagop—two diasporans who are very invested in their Homeland—this podcast is a space for open and honest conversations about the issues that matter: from politics and social change to language, history, and personal stories of navigating life between worlds.


    In this episode, we introduce ourselves, share what inspired us to create this platform, and explain the meaning behind the name De/դէ. A common Armenian word with many uses, դէ can express urgency, agreement, encouragement, or frustration—capturing the tone and flexibility we hope to bring to each conversation.
