📖 The Davidic Covenant
2 Samuel 7:8–16
“I took you from the sheepfold… Your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”God promises David that his lineage and kingdom will last forever. The fulfillment? Jesus, the eternal King from David’s line.
📖 The New Covenant
Jeremiah 31:31–33
“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant... I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”This New Covenant through Jesus Christ replaces the Old Covenant and restores relationship with God.
💡 Breakdown of the Covenants:
- Old Covenant (Mosaic Law): Based on obedience and repeated sacrifices
- New Covenant (Grace): Forgiveness and relationship through faith in Jesus
- Jesus the Mediator: His sacrifice made it possible
- The Last Supper: Bread and wine symbolize the covenant
- Prophecy Fulfilled: Jeremiah 31 fulfilled in Christ

But would we treat promises differently if they were called covenants?
God doesn’t just promise—He covenants.
And when we fail, He doesn’t walk away. He shows up in the flesh—Jesus—to restore and redeem.

He carries the weight of the covenant—and He never breaks His word.
🔐 Final Thoughts:It’s not easy to follow Jesus in a world full of ridicule.
That’s why we MUST put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18) every day.
