Hi Dreamers! We're thrilled to receive your messages and fan mail here at the Live Your Dreams Podcast, and we can't wait to hear from you!
On this episode of the Live Your Dreams Podcast, we're joined by an incredible storyteller who has spent over two decades documenting the world of comedy — journalist, author, and now documentarian Julie Seabaugh. Julie is the producer, story editor, and creative force behind Are We Good?, the powerful new documentary about legendary comic and podcast pioneer Marc Maron, making its East Coast premiere at the Tribeca Festival June 14th and 15th.
Having covered Maron extensively throughout her journalism career, Julie was deeply moved by his raw vulnerability following the tragic loss of his partner Lynn Shelton. When she saw his honest and emotional Instagram posts, she knew something special was unfolding — and that someone needed to chronicle this chapter of his life. That someone turned out to be her.
From the very first shoot at The Comedy Store in May 2021 — Marc’s first time back on stage post-pandemic — to capturing the evolution of his most personal stand-up work yet, Julie's journey from reporter to documentarian is as compelling as the film itself.
