概要

An alternative take on human design helping you to apply what you know, or what you learn, in a therapeutic practice, ethically. Dismantling the 'pop HD' world and coming back to the fundamental framework, its ancient roots, and how this knowing can help develop better questions for the client in the room. Delivered by Human Design for Therapists and Coaches teacher and author, Rebecca Lovatt, it combines understanding of yogic philosophy, human design, psychology and cognitive understanding to help pitch the modality safely within your practice, knowing when the framework can help, and when it can hinder.

Covering topics from ancient roots, energy types, profile lines, gates and channels, body symptom mapping, ethical considerations, variables and session crafting, this lecture series introduces the fuller courses held by Rebecca in her practice in the UK.

  • #4 The Six Profile Lines in Therapeutic Practice
    2026/10/31

Some clients carry shame that has nothing to do with anything they’ve done. It sits in the way they’re built: the need to research everything first, the need for time alone, a working life full of false starts.

In this lecture I walk through the six profile lines in Human Design, one at a time. For each line you’ll hear its keynote, how it shows up under strain, how it looks when the person feels safe, and the prompts I use in session. We then put two lines together and look at the conscious line (how a person experiences themselves) and the unconscious line (how everyone else experiences them).

The lines are taught on their own first so the twelve profiles make sense without memorising them. This lecture pairs with Part Four, Chapter 5 of Human Design for Therapists & Coaches: The Complete Practitioner Manual.

If you’d like to take this into your own practice, the six-month live cohort of Human Design for Therapists & Coaches begins on 19 January 2027 and runs each January. A £100 deposit secures your place and comes off the final fee. Details at thehumblewarrior.co.uk.

  • #3 Shadow Work & Human Design: Frustration, Bitterness, Anger and Disappointment as Signals
    2026/10/24

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” In Lecture 3 of Human Design for Therapists & Coaches, Rebecca Lovatt explores the not-self themes and how to hear frustration, bitterness, anger and disappointment as messengers instead of faults.

    In this episode:

    • What the not-self is and why it began as survival intelligence
    • Jung’s shadow and Robert Bly’s long black bag: the disowned self holds unlived gifts as well as wounds
    • The five not-self themes and their shadow archetypes: the Striving Worker, the Unseen Expert, the Caged Initiator and the Disillusioned Mirror
    • The scales of self and not-self as a daily check-in
    • Moving from pathology to signal: asking “what is this pointing toward?”
    • The clinical stance: curiosity, regulation first, and care with rumination
    • The four cups of maintenance, service, purpose and fun
    • A practice for meeting your own not-self emotions this week

For therapists, coaches and practitioners who work with shame, shadow and difficult emotion, and want a compassionate, non-diagnostic way to bring Human Design into the room.

  • #2 How Your Clients Are Built: The 5 Human Design Types for Therapists & Coaches
    2026/10/17

Why are so many of your clients chronically tired? In Lecture 2 of Human Design for Therapists & Coaches, Rebecca Lovatt walks through the five energy types and the auras that shape how each one lands in a room.

    In this episode:

    • The types as an ecosystem, with no type better than another
    • Aura: the field each type carries and how it explains relational friction
    • Generators and Manifesting Generators: the sacral response, satisfaction, frustration and the power of "no"
    • Projectors: waiting to be recognised, rest as a design requirement, and bitterness as a signal
    • Manifestors: informing without asking permission, the burst-and-crash cycle, and reading anger honestly
    • Reflectors: environment, the lunar cycle and the gift of being a mirror
    • Questions to use in session with each type
    • A practice for catching your own not-self theme this week

For therapists, coaches and practitioners who want to understand burnout as the cost of living in the wrong shape, and help clients recognise their own.

Pairs with Part Two (Chapter 3) of the Complete Practitioner Manual. Course and manual at thehumblewarrior.co.uk
