Hey you,
Today we talk about how to break the cycle of negative self talk. We can all be guilty of this one, some far worse than others, but it sneaks into our daily lives if we don't bring awareness to it. Often we talk to ourselves like absolute sh*t, and we don't realise how damaging that is to our self belief.
I break it down and talk about the importance of writing down your negative thoughts, why? because the very act of writing it down, switches on our rational part of our brains. It's the same reason that it's important to write down a gratitude journal, because it takes it out of your mind, and wakes up the conscious part of the brain. By writing it down, we can then begin to break the thought loop.
Also discussed if you struggle with negative self talk, is the importance of keeping a photo of yourself as a child nearby.
By the end of this episode, if you start to implement these very things, I can guarantee you'll start breaking the cycle, little by little.
