Her Worth is a podcast about money, freedom, and everything women were never taught.

Not a finance podcast. A freedom podcast. Money comes up constantly, because it always does — but so do divorce, careers, confidence, the mortgage, the joint account, knowing your rights, and the small print nobody reads.

Each week, Anna Pearce-Roberts takes one thing women are told not to worry about — the pension, the credit score, the mental load, the career break, the fresh start — names it plainly, strips out the jargon, and gives you the real version. Plain English. Real stories. From a woman who has lived most of it.

Anna is 45, from the North East of England, and has built businesses, run a household and learned almost all of it the expensive way. She has also spent years talking openly about PMDD, perimenopause and trauma recovery, and those episodes are all still here — because the same thread runs through every one of them. What happens to a woman nobody handed the manual to.

Because financial freedom and personal freedom are the same conversation. Because a woman who knows exactly where she stands can stay or go on her own terms. And because understanding the stuff nobody taught you isn't just useful. It's power.

Your self-worth has nothing to do with the size of your bank account. But let's be overflowing in both.

New episodes weekly. The tools, the free folder and the weekly letter are all at hershift.com.

  • Her Worth: I Made Myself So Essential, They Couldn't Function Without Me
    2026/10/22

    HER CHRISTMAS SORTED

🎄 Running Christmas on your own again this year? Her Christmas Sorted gets the whole thing out of your head and onto your phone, yours every year:

    GIVE IT A GO HERE

Your self-worth has nothing to do with your bank account, your postcode, or your credit score — but not knowing anything about your household finances? That's a real problem. In this episode, Anna talks about making herself so essential that nobody else could function, and how she ended up running her entire household like a one-woman company on fumes.

Anna grew up in a generation where you were just expected to *know* stuff. How to make appointments, pay bills, manage money — there was no Google, no podcasts, no safety net. By the time she was married, she'd taken that survival mentality and weaponised it, becoming responsible for every single aspect of household management: the physical load, the mental load, the financial load, everything.

But there are two extremes here, and both are dangerous. On one end, you're doing literally everything yourself with no support. On the other end, you're giving away all your financial power to someone else — and you genuinely have no idea how your household finances actually work. Then something happens. A car accident. A divorce. A death. Suddenly you're in an infinite minefield.

This episode is about understanding the gap between blissful ignorance and burnout, and finding the middle ground where you actually know what's going on. Because not knowing is dangerous. Making yourself so indispensable that everyone else is helpless? That's got its own minefield too.

Whether you're in a relationship, single, co-parenting, or living with family — if you don't know the basics of your household finances, this is a wake-up call. Anna shares real stories about the moment she realised she'd built a house of cards where everyone depended entirely on her.

  • Her Worth: Nothing Bad Happens When Women Have Money
    2026/10/20
FREE JUST IN CASE FOLDER (As Promised HERE)The one that started everything. In this first ever episode of Her Worth, host Anna introduces the show, the mission, and the moment that gave her the authority to do it — because it wasn't arriving, it was living the gap.We open with Dolly Parton, who passed the day before recording. Not the music. The library. The Imagination Library — millions of books sent to children born into poverty, because one woman decided to be wealthy and then do something real with it. Nothing bad happens when women have money. That's the whole show. But here's what Dolly understood that most of us don't — not all the way down. She didn't give because she felt guilty about being rich. She gave because her self-worth and her bank account were completely separate conversations. And when those two things get tangled — when money becomes the measure of who you are — you can't give freely, you can't receive freely, and you can't be free at all.Anna knows this from the inside. She grew up financially literate — mortgages, credit, interest rates, the FTSE 100 — it was all around her from childhood. But knowledge wasn't the problem. Worth was. Because when someone uses money to keep you dependent, you stop being able to tell the difference between what you owe and what you're worth. They become the same thing. This episode tells the story of what it took to separate them. The war paint. The shaking hands. The two times sick on the way there. The tentative walk in, the short speech, the walk out. And the footage — still on her phone — of what happened in the car afterwards. Howling. Her body releasing something it had been holding for decades. That was the moment Her Worth was born. Also in this episode: the Lorna Lux reality check, why debt to poor people is called debt and debt to rich people is called leverage, and the one thing Anna wants you to do this week — not fix, just look.Your self-worth has got absolutely nothing to do with the size of your bank account. • Her Shift: Dolly Parton Showed Me What Reclaiming Power Looks Like
    2026/08/29

Anna's back with a tribute to Dolly Parton after her passing, exploring what her life teaches us about forgiveness and reclaiming power. This episode digs into why so many of us struggle with the word forgiveness – the trauma, the baggage, the weight we carry – and how Dolly's approach to life offers a completely different perspective on what forgiveness actually means.

Growing up, Anna learned forgiveness as a manipulation tactic, a bartering tool. She explores why that messed her up for years and kept her from understanding what real forgiveness actually is. Spoiler: it's not about forgetting, it's about freedom. It's about refusing to let what happened to you become the thing that destroys you.

This episode features the powerful story of Stephen Lawrence's parents – how they chose forgiveness not as a weakness but as an act of ultimate power. It's a story that made Anna pull over her car to process it, and it fundamentally shifted how she understands healing and moving forward after trauma.

Whether you're dealing with PMDD, childhood trauma, betrayal, or just the everyday resentment we all carry around like massive suitcases, this episode is about putting that shit down. It's about understanding that forgiveness is how you reclaim your life from the people and circumstances that hurt you.

Anna talks about Dolly's famous Dollyisms – those bite-sized nuggets of wisdom that remind us we don't have to carry hate, revenge, or bitterness forever. A tribute to a woman who lived forgiveness and showed us what it actually looks like.
