  • EP 3 - Eating Less & Gaining Weight In Your 30s & 40s?
    2026/10/14

Eating less than you ever have, working out five days a week, hitting your protein goals, and still not reaching your fitness goals?

It might feel like your metabolism is broken or you're just not trying hard enough, but in this episode of Her Balanced Life, but Eni Kadar explains why the very things you're doing to lose weight could be keeping you stuck. Eni breaks down how under-fueling, over-exercising, and under-recovering can push your body into conservation mode, making fat loss harder even when you're doing everything you've been told to do.

    In this episode, you'll hear:

    • Three common contributors to weight loss resistance: under-fueling, over-exercising, and under-recovering
    • Why eating less and exercising more can backfire when your body is already under stress
    • Why a metabolism that's not optimized can result you not seeing the results you want.
    • Why the same diet and exercise strategies that worked in your 20s may stop working in your 30s, 40s, and beyond
    • Five steps you can take to get in the right direction for weight loss

You can't restrict your way out of a problem that restriction created. Sometimes making progress means eating more, exercising less, and giving your body time to recover. If you take one thing from this episode, start with three balanced meals a day, prioritize protein at breakfast, and consider dialling back your workout intensity for a week or two.

  • EP 2 - Waking Up at 3AM? What Your Cortisol Is Telling You
    2026/10/07

Waking up at 3 a.m., eyes wide open, doing the math on how many hours of sleep you have left? There are a few main reasons this happens, and they are not the same underlying problem. Eni Kadar gets into all things cortisol, the "queen hormone," and explains why being wired but tired at night, waking between 2 and 4 a.m., and waking up groggy no matter how long you slept can all be linked to cortisol, but come from different imbalances. That's why the supplement that works for someone else can do absolutely nothing for you.

    In this episode, you'll hear:

    • What cortisol does: it's your stress hormone and your internal clock, and it follows a natural daily curve
    • Three common sleep patterns and what may be behind each one
    • How a blood sugar dip overnight can trigger the 2 to 4 a.m. wake-up
    • A day of cortisol balance: gentle wake-ups, morning light, eating within 90 minutes of waking, caffeine timing, and winding down without devices
    • Why supplements can fill in gaps but can't replace habits, nutrition, and lifestyle

Cortisol imbalances don't happen in a week, so they won't undo in a week. Be patient with your body and start small: you don't need to overhaul your life, but you do need to start somewhere. If you pick one thing, Eni recommends the morning habit of outdoor light and protein within 90 minutes of waking. If you're already doing all of this and still feel like you're running on fumes, you can apply to work with Eni through the link below. • EP 1 - Bloodwork Normal But Still Exhausted & Gaining Weight? What Your Labs May Be Missing
    2026/10/07

Your bloodwork came back normal, but you're still exhausted, crashing by 2 or 3 p.m., gaining weight without changing anything, and cold all the time. In the first episode of Her Balanced Life, Eni Kadar explains why "normal" on a lab report doesn't mean optimal, and definitely doesn't mean normal for you. She walks through how standard reference ranges are created, what standard lab work is and isn't designed to catch, and what to do next when you've been told everything's fine but you don't feel like yourself.

    In this episode, you'll hear:

    • Why lab reference ranges are a statistical average of well and unwell people, and why "in range" doesn't equal thriving
    • What standard lab work is designed to do and what it misses
    • Why one lab result tells you virtually nothing without the context of your symptoms, patterns, and health history
    • How to advocate for yourself at your next appointment: getting your actual results, asking about specific markers like a full thyroid panel, and seeking another opinion
    • The one thing to start this week: tracking your symptoms for two weeks

This episode isn't about bashing the medical industry. It's about getting answers, feeling validated, and having a clear path forward to feeling like yourself again. Normal means you're not sick, which is great, but it doesn't mean you're well, and it doesn't mean you're done asking questions. Your symptoms are data, and you are not imagining it.
