ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
Last week, Jesus warned us against over-valuing earthly wealth. This week, Jesus warns us against undervaluing heavenly treasure. This week might be the bigger challenge! When it seems that we are lacking in our daily lives, it can be hard to avoid worry. Jesus asks us to give our undivided attention to him, that he might take our worries away. Jesus points us to our Father who loves us more than the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, so much so that he promises to give us the heavenly treasure of his kingdom. Jesus assures us that our Father will throw in needed earthly possessions as well. So, we can rest from our worries, confident that our loving Father knows all that we need.
