  • How to Win Friends & Influence People - Book Review
    2020/10/14

*warning: this episode has the potential to drastically improve your social and mental health!*

At the end of each episode, I asks guests three questions:
    1.  A book that has shaped your life?
    2.  A healthy habit that you practice?
    3.  A treasure of truth / piece of advice?

In this episode, I answer question #1 and share with you the top 10 principles (the book has 30, and yes, they are all good) that have shaped my life after reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People":

    1. Don't criticize, condemn, or complain
    2. Give honest and sincere appreciation
    3. Become genuinely interested in other people
    4. Smile
    5. Remember that a person's name is the sweetest sound in any languge
    6. Be a good listener
    7. Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely
    8. If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically
    9. Try honestly to see things from the other person's point of view
    10. Be hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise

"How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie is a classic and I highly recommend it.  At the core, it is all about how to manage human relationships and live a happy and fulfilled life with those whom we make connections with.

Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
