God gave Gideon victory with just three hundred men, but the story doesn’t end there. In Judges 7-9, we also see how Gideon’s later choices affected Israel and how Abimelech’s desire for power led to violence.

What can we learn when someone God used makes a harmful choice? And what hope is there for people who’ve been hurt while others seem to get away with it?

It also reminds us why sharing our testimonies matters. One person can tell two more, those two can tell others, and before we know it, one testimony has reached thousands by word of mouth.

In this Bible study, we walked through the closing chapters of Joshua and saw that entering the Promised Land was not the end of Israel’s responsibility. They still had to guard their unity, remember what God had done, and remain faithful to Him.

From the cities of refuge to the altar that nearly caused conflict, these chapters show us the importance of mercy, communication, and not reacting before we know the whole story. Joshua’s final message also reminds us that no one can serve God for us. Each of us must decide whom we will serve and whether we will remain faithful after the victory.

Jesus is the refuge our souls need, but we must willingly come to Him and continue walking in obedience.

In Joshua 17-19, some of the tribes received their inheritance, but possessing the land still required faith, obedience, and action. These chapters remind us that we can’t allow fear, comfort, excuses, or comparison to keep us from walking fully in what God has called us to do.

In this Bible study, we’ll discuss the danger of settling for less, the importance of trusting God when the assignment feels bigger than us, and why every person’s portion will not look the same. God has not forgotten you, and what He has for you does not have to resemble what He gave someone else. The question is: will we remain where we are comfortable, or will we move forward in faith?

God had given Israel the land, but they still had to possess it. In Joshua 13-16, we see the danger of becoming comfortable with unfinished obedience, the faith of Caleb as he claimed what God promised, and the inheritance divided among the tribes. This study reminds us that God is faithful, but we must continue walking by faith, obeying His Word, and refusing to settle before the work is finished. What does it mean when the battle lasts longer than we expected? We see that opposition doesn’t mean God has forgotten us, and a long battle doesn’t mean He has left us.

Israel’s battles were physical, but ours are spiritual. Through Jesus Christ, we have salvation, the power of the Holy Ghost, strength for today, and hope beyond what we’re facing. Let these chapters remind you that God is faithful, even when victory takes time.

Israel had seen God bring down the walls of Jericho, but their next experiences showed why one victory can’t replace continued obedience.

In these chapters, we look at hidden sin, moving forward after repentance, and the danger of making decisions without seeking God. These chapters also remind us to remain watchful, obey His Word, and follow the leading of the Holy Ghost, even when we feel confident about what (we think) comes next.
