If you’re looking for the best of Baltimore this holiday week and weekend, grab your costumes and curiosity because the Charm City’s got something for everyone. Starting tonight, one of the region’s highlight events is Baltimore’s Ghost Ship Haunted Attraction. This sails into port at the Liberty Ship John W. Brown on Newgate Avenue, running from 7 to 10 PM October 30th, 31st, and November 1st. This year’s spine-chilling theme is Sea Monsters, and the historic ship transforms into a floating haunted house. There’s hot drinks, snacks, and exclusive merchandise, so round up your friends or family if you dare to dive into maritime mayhem.

Elsewhere tonight, improv fans and the improv-curious will want to stop by the Highwire Center on South Conkling Street for the free Thursday night Everyday Things Community Improv Jam. It kicks off at 7 PM and welcomes anyone interested in making new friends while laughing and joining in the fun, regardless of experience.

For those looking to get into the Halloween spirit with a family-friendly vibe, Plan on trick-or-treating fun and costume contests throughout the city on Friday, October 31st. Elijah’s Park on Distillery Street hosts an all-ages Trick or Treat beginning at 5 PM, with crafts, games, and music. Over at Peabody Heights Brewery, there’s a Halloween Costume and Dance Party starting at 6 PM. Highlandtown Main Street is hosting Trick-o-Treat on Highlandtown, and in Fell’s Point, businesses will open their doors to costumed candy-seekers from 4 to 7 PM. The Avenue in Hampden lights up for its Halloween Fest from 5 to 8 PM, and Port Discovery Children’s Museum is running a $10 Halloween Community Day for kids and families.

For the adults, Power Plant Live is throwing Baltimore’s ultimate Heroes vs. Villains: Multiverse Edition Halloween bash on Friday. Expect six themed parties, a QR code hunt, live DJs, and costume contests with cash prizes. Or, dress to impress as your favorite movie character for Ulysses’ Cinema Paradiso Halloween Edition, an all-inclusive immersive theater party with cocktails, dancing, and food from 7 to 10 PM at Hotel Ulysses on East Read Street.

Saturday brings even more. Shop, taste, and explore the Pop-Up Bazaar Market at Digital Harbor High School from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Don’t miss the waterfront farmers’ market at the Baltimore Museum of Industry from 9 AM to 1 PM, or the Port to Fort family-friendly 6K run benefiting Believe in Tomorrow.
