• Episode #10: What is Sarah Up To These Days?
    2026/09/02

After almost three years away, Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact is officially back!

And since a LOT has changed, I thought the best way to kick off this new season was with a life and business update: What is Sarah up to these days?

I’m sharing where my business has taken me, why I’m bringing this podcast back, and what I’m building next—including Sagittarius Rising Media Co. and my focus on podcasting, content creation, and magnetic marketing for purpose-driven business owners.

    Here are the big updates:

    1. Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact is BACK.

New weekly episodes are coming your way covering business growth, podcasting, magnetic marketing, sales, money mindset, leadership, and creating a business and life that actually feel good.

    2. Cool People Doing Cool Things isn’t going anywhere.

I’m continuing my other podcast, Cool People Doing Cool Things, while allowing the two shows to serve different purposes.

    3. I’m going all-in on podcasting, content creation, and magnetic marketing.

Over the last few years, podcasting and content creation naturally became a bigger part of my work. Now, we’re building marketing ecosystems where long-form content connects with short-form video, social media, email, YouTube, websites, offers, and sales—so everything works together to grow your business.

    4. I believe podcasting is one of the most powerful tools for purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

A podcast allows you to share your expertise, establish yourself as an industry leader, build trust, and create a body of work that can continue helping people for YEARS.

I recently had a new client tell me she had listened to an episode I recorded years ago. Even while I wasn’t actively recording, this podcast was still working for my business.

But it’s bigger than business growth. I believe podcasting has the potential to make the world better by giving purpose-driven people a platform to share what they know.

    5. My business has officially become Sagittarius Rising Media Co.

My business has evolved from therapist and healing center owner to coach, consultant, marketer, content creator, podcast producer, and now media company founder.

Sagittarius Rising represents expansion, boldness, growth, speaking your truth, dreaming bigger, and getting your work into the world. That’s the energy behind everything we’re building.

    6. Sagittarius Rising is becoming bigger than a marketing agency.

We’re building a community and movement of purpose-driven podcasters, creators, and business owners who believe in profit AND purpose.

The bigger vision is for Sagittarius Rising to become a lighthouse for meaningful content—a brand people trust to introduce them to creators, experts, and business owners doing work that matters.

    7. I’m building a team—and learning to lead at a completely different level.

I’m moving from being the person who does everything to building a company where talented people can grow alongside me. I’m being incredibly intentional about creating a culture where our team, our clients, and the business can thrive together.

    8. I’m doubling down on the belief that profit and purpose belong together.

You can help people AND make money. You can care deeply about your mission AND build a highly profitable business. You can grow your impact without sacrificing your own wellness or quality of life.

Because as I always say: you can’t help someone else if you’re burned out, bitter, or broke.

This new season feels like both a return and a completely new chapter.

If you’re building something meaningful, have something important to say, or want to use your business to make a positive impact, you’re exactly who I’m creating this for.

  • Episode #9: Consciously Creating Your Life & Business with Energy Work
    2023/11/29

Consciously Create Your Reality: Becoming Your Future Self Now

What if the version of you who has already created the life and business you want could help you make better decisions today?

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I’m sharing one of my favorite practices for consciously creating your reality: using visualization, energy, and aligned action to connect with your future self—and then beginning to embody that version of you now.

This isn’t just about visualizing something you want and waiting for it to appear. The real work happens when you ask: If I were already that version of myself, what would I do differently today?

In this episode, I talk about:

Using visualization to consciously create your reality — imagining what you want to create and allowing yourself to experience how that future reality would actually feel.

My “time travel” visualization practice and how I used it with my daughters while we were waiting to move into our new home.

Bringing your five senses into visualization so you can more deeply connect with the emotions and experience of the reality you're imagining.

My journey with student loan debt — and how visualizing the freedom I wanted helped me recognize ways I could begin creating more freedom in my life before the debt was actually gone.

Manifesting the feeling behind the goal — recognizing that underneath the house, money, business, vacation, or other thing you want is often a deeper desire to feel free, abundant, confident, peaceful, or excited.

Embodying your future self now — asking how the version of you who has already reached your goals would think, act, carry themselves, structure their time, and make decisions.

Taking aligned action instead of stopping at visualization — because conscious creation isn't just about “feeling the vibes.” It's about allowing that vision to influence what you actually do next.

Making decisions from your highest-self energy — from how you spend your time and money to what you say yes to, what you say no to, how you price your offers, and how you show up in your business.

Making small, realistic changes instead of believing you have to completely transform your life overnight.

Recognizing what no longer aligns as you begin stepping into the next version of yourself and your business.

Creating a business model that supports your next level — because sometimes reaching a bigger vision requires changing your offers, structure, support, or the way you're currently working.

I also guide you through a visualization during the episode where you'll imagine yourself one year from now—wildly successful, helping more people, making more money, and creating a life and business that genuinely feel good to you.

Then we bring that version of you back into the present and ask:

What can I do differently today to begin creating that reality now?

Visualization gives you the vision. Embodiment helps you feel it. Aligned action is how you begin creating it.

  • Episode #8: Your Success is Inevitable
    2023/08/02

What would change in your business if you stopped asking, “Can I actually do this?” and started asking, “How am I going to make this happen?”

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I’m talking about one of the foundational beliefs that has shaped my own entrepreneurial journey: your success becomes inevitable when you decide you’re going to succeed.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be challenges, uncertainty, mindset wobbles, or moments when you have absolutely no idea how you’re going to get where you want to go.

It means you’ve decided where you’re going—and instead of continually questioning whether it’s possible, you focus your energy on figuring out the path forward.

In this episode, I talk about:

The shift from “Can I do this?” to “How can I do this?” — and how making that decision changes the way you show up in your business.

Why challenges are part of entrepreneurship — and how approaching obstacles with curiosity can help you uncover skill gaps, knowledge gaps, mindset blocks, and your next opportunity for growth.

Visualizing your future successful self and bringing some of that confidence, energy, and certainty into the decisions you’re making today.

Taking consistent, aligned action — and why deciding where you’re going makes it easier to determine what deserves your time, energy, and attention.

The inevitable “wobbles” that happen as you grow — including my own experience questioning whether I could sustain bigger sales months and the money mindset work that followed.

Making money as a mission-driven business owner — and why wanting financial success doesn’t conflict with wanting to help people or make a positive impact.

How making more money can expand your impact by giving you the ability to hire support, create more capacity, get out of survival mode, and have more time and energy for the people and things that matter to you.

Staying focused on your bigger vision — including learning what to say yes to, what to say no to, and recognizing when you’re scattering your energy in too many directions.

Taking care of yourself when you’re in a wobble instead of making important business decisions from fear, stress, or uncertainty.

Combining mindset with action — because believing in your success isn’t about sitting back and hoping something happens. It’s about deciding where you’re going and consistently taking action toward it.

You don’t have to know exactly how you’re going to get there today.

Decide where you’re going. Stay curious when challenges arise. Keep learning, adjusting, and taking aligned action.

    Your success is inevitable.

  • Episode #7: Essential Elements of an Effective Business Strategy (replay from last season)
    2023/04/30

How to Create a Business Strategy That Actually Works

You know where you want your business to go. You know the kind of life you want your business to support. Now—how do you actually create a plan to get there?

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I'm wrapping up my business strategy series by breaking down the essential pieces of an effective business strategy and showing you how to turn your bigger vision into an actionable plan.

Because a business strategy isn't just a list of things you need to do. It's a living, flexible roadmap that connects your lifestyle, revenue goals, offers, marketing, audience growth, operations, time, and energy.

In this episode, I talk about:

The five-step strategy process — Assess → Strategize → Implement → Evaluate → Optimize—and why your work isn't finished once you've implemented the plan.

Defining measurable goals so you have clear indicators of whether your strategy is actually moving you toward the business you want.

Looking beyond the numbers — including qualitative measures like burnout, stress, capacity, and whether your business still feels aligned.

Creating a flexible business strategy that gives you direction without becoming a rigid set of rules.

Making your business simpler and more efficient — and asking yourself, “How can I make this easier?” when your strategy starts becoming overly complicated.

Systems, SOPs, delegation, and support — identifying bottlenecks and creating processes that allow your business to grow without everything depending on you.

Reverse engineering your goals by starting with the big picture and breaking it into smaller, achievable steps.

Connecting your lifestyle and revenue goals — including determining your survival and thrive revenue numbers and setting realistic, incremental sales goals.

Choosing your offers and business model strategically based on your revenue goals, available time, capacity, and the lifestyle you're creating.

Building an audience growth strategy that consistently brings the right new people into your world.

Creating intentional marketing and content instead of simply posting or “being visible” without knowing what you're trying to accomplish.

Breaking your strategy into monthly, weekly, and daily action steps so your big-picture vision actually turns into something you can execute.

Creating marketing assets that continue working for you — including podcasts, blogs, emails, and other content your audience can consume over time.

Accounting for the behind-the-scenes work of running your business — from bookkeeping and networking to team management, preparation, and operations.

Putting your strategy on a timeline while allowing it to evolve as your business grows, your circumstances change, and you learn what's actually working.

Your business strategy should connect the dots between the life you want, the business you want, and what you're doing today to create both.

  • Episode #6: Intentional Lifestyle Design: Designing Your Dream Life & Business (replay from last season)
    2023/04/30

Intentional Lifestyle Design: Build Your Business Around the Life You Want

What if you stopped building your life around your business—and started building your business around the life you actually want?

So many entrepreneurs create their business strategy based on what they think they should be doing, how much they want to make, or what everyone else in their industry is doing. Then they try to fit their life, family, relationships, wellness, and happiness into whatever space is left.

I believe we should do it the other way around.

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I'm diving into a concept I call intentional lifestyle design—creating a “you-first” vision for your life and then developing a business strategy that actually supports it.

Because growing a successful business isn't just about what you accomplish. It's also about creating a life you actually enjoy living.

In this episode, I talk about:

What intentional lifestyle design means — getting clear on the life you want first and then building your business strategy around it.

Moving from “Can I have this?” to “How can I create this?” — and challenging the assumptions that cause us to settle before we've even explored what's possible.

Why your happiness and wellness matter — even when you're a mission-driven entrepreneur who genuinely wants to spend your life helping others.

Creating a business you can sustain long term instead of building something that eventually leads to overwork and burnout.

Deciding how you want your life to feel — including your energy, stress levels, presence, peace, and overall day-to-day experience.

Looking at your whole life — including your physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational wellness.

Designing your ideal schedule — how many hours do you actually want to work? When do you want to work? And what do you want your days to look like outside of your business?

Making room for relationships, experiences, and bucket-list goals instead of treating them as things you'll get to “someday.”

Your survival number vs. your thrive number — understanding how much you need to take home each month to support your current life and how much you'd like to bring home to support the life you're creating.

Knowing your actual numbers instead of avoiding them or guessing what you need.

The role of mindset — noticing where you're automatically telling yourself that you can't have the business, money, schedule, or lifestyle you really want.

Combining vision with strategy — once you know what you're creating, you can develop the plan and skills necessary to get there.

One of the biggest ideas I want you to take away from this episode is:

We vote for the kind of life we want by how we choose to spend our time, money, and energy.

Your business gets to be part of your dream life. It doesn't have to come at the expense of it.

  • Episode #5: How to Create a Business Strategy That Actually Works for you
    2023/04/30

Yes — I’d cut it down quite a bit while still keeping it detailed enough to work as show notes. This version is comfortably under 4,000 characters:

A business strategy shouldn’t just tell you how to make more money. It should help you build a business that supports the life you actually want to live.

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I’m breaking down the essential components of an effective business strategy—and why your strategy needs to account for much more than revenue.

Before deciding what you’re going to sell, how you’re going to market it, or what you need to accomplish next, you need to zoom out and ask:

What are you actually trying to create?

Your business strategy should take into account your income, time, energy, capacity, lifestyle, and the impact you want to make. From there, you can reverse engineer a plan that gets you where you want to go.

    In this episode, I cover:

Why intentional lifestyle design comes first — Decide what you want your life to look and feel like, then build a business that supports it.

The five-step strategy process — Assess, strategize, implement, evaluate, and optimize.

How to create measurable goals — And why success isn’t only about numbers. Your energy, stress, capacity, and overall quality of life matter too.

Why your strategy needs flexibility — Your plan should evolve as your business, ideas, opportunities, and priorities change.

How to simplify your business — Creating systems, delegating, and looking for ways to work efficiently instead of making growth unnecessarily complicated.

How to align your revenue goals with your lifestyle — More money isn’t necessarily better if achieving it requires you to build a life you don’t want.

How to reverse engineer your goals — Start with the bigger vision and break it into smaller, achievable steps.

Your survival vs. thrive revenue goals — Determine what your business needs to generate to cover your income, expenses, taxes, savings, team, time off, and the lifestyle you want.

How your entire strategy connects — From lifestyle and revenue goals to sales, offers, marketing, content, and the actions you take each week.

Why audience growth matters — Including the importance of audience quality and intentionally deciding where and how you want to grow your audience.

Visibility vs. content strategy — It’s not enough to simply show up. Your content should have an intention and connect to your larger goals.

How your offers and business model affect your strategy — Different offers require different approaches to marketing, sales, audience growth, and capacity.

How to create a realistic timeline while still giving yourself permission to adjust the plan as you grow.

    Plus much more!

Ultimately, an effective business strategy creates alignment between where you want to go, how you want to live, what you want to earn, the impact you want to make, and what you’re doing to get there.

  • Episode #4: How to not create a FRANKENBIZ (replay from 2021)
    2023/04/30

Let's talk about accidentally creating a FRANKENBIZ...a business that takes over your life like a monster (even if you're successful).

How to Avoid Creating a “Frankenbiz”

Have you accidentally created a business that is starting to run your life?

I call this a “Frankenbiz”—a business that you've pieced together over time by saying yes to clients, offers, opportunities, and ideas until suddenly you've created a monster that requires more time and energy than you ever intended to give it.

And here's the tricky part: your Frankenbiz can actually be successful.

You can love your work. You can make great money. You can have amazing clients. And you can still build a business that doesn't support the life you actually want to live.

I know because I've done it.

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I'm sharing my own experience with burnout, how I help my clients avoid creating their own Frankenbiz, and why I believe we need to design our lives first—and then build businesses that fit inside them.

In this episode, I talk about:

What a “Frankenbiz” actually is — and how a business can be successful and profitable while still being completely unsustainable for you.

Why loving your work doesn't protect you from burnout — especially when you continually add things you enjoy without considering your long-term capacity.

My own experience with burnout while running a thriving six-figure healing center and realizing that the business I had created required far more of me than I wanted it to.

Starting with the end in mind — instead of building your business first and trying to squeeze your life around it.

Intentional lifestyle design — deciding how you want your life to look and feel and using that vision to guide your business decisions.

The question I want every business owner to ask: “When I'm wildly successful, what do I want my day-to-day life to feel like?”

Creating pieces of that life now instead of believing you'll finally slow down, take care of yourself, or enjoy your life once you've reached some future level of success.

Understanding your actual capacity — how many hours do you want to work, how much client-facing time do you have available, and what do you want to spend your time doing?

Knowing your numbers — how much revenue does your business need to generate to pay you, cover your expenses, and operate sustainably?

Making sure your offers, pricing, and business model actually work together so you can reach your financial goals without exceeding your capacity.

Combining intuition with strategy — because creating a business that feels good doesn't mean ignoring the math.

Keeping business simple and focusing on what you actually need to build a profitable, sustainable business that supports your life.

Your business is supposed to support the life you're creating—not become the thing your entire life revolves around.

  • Episode #3: How to have an Ethical, Heart-Centered & EFFECTIVE Sales Process (Replay from 2021)
    2023/04/30

If the word “sales” makes you feel a little gross, this episode is for you.

For heart-centered, mission-driven business owners, selling can sometimes feel at odds with the reason we went into business in the first place. We want to help people—not pressure, manipulate, or convince someone to buy something they don't actually want or need.

But having a sales process isn't inherently unethical. If you're in business, you're selling something. The question is: How do you create a sales process that is both effective AND aligned with your values?

In this episode of Grow Your Business, Elevate Your Impact, I'm breaking down what I believe ethical sales actually looks like and why I think we should approach sales the same way we approach any other healthy relationship—with consent, boundaries, respect, trust, and personal choice.

In this episode, I talk about:

Sales as a relationship — and why consent, trust, boundaries, and mutual respect should be at the foundation of the sales process.

Ethical vs. unethical sales tactics — why the tactic itself isn't always the problem; intention, approach, and power dynamics matter.

Authentic relationship-building vs. manipulation — and why pretending to care about someone just to eventually sell to them isn't genuine relationship marketing.

Fear-based marketing — how to recognize when marketing is creating anxiety, inadequacy, urgency, or a feeling that you need something in order to succeed.

Creating an empowering sales process where potential clients feel completely safe saying yes OR no.

Being customer-centered instead of profit-centered — including knowing when someone isn't the right fit and being willing to refer them elsewhere.

Why wanting to make money isn't wrong — you can have ambitious revenue goals while still putting service, integrity, and your clients first.

Selling without pressure — and why I don't believe someone should have to make an immediate decision to prove they're “serious” about themselves or their business.

Objection handling — why I disagree with aggressive objection-handling tactics and believe your marketing should educate and address many objections before someone ever enters a sales conversation.

Detachment in sales — learning to detach from whether any specific person buys from you and trusting that their decision belongs to them.

How to follow up without hounding people and the energetic difference between offering support and trying to “close the sale.”

Learning to take no for an answer without making someone's decision mean something about you, your offer, or your worth.

Ultimately, ethical sales isn't about memorizing the “right” technique. It's about creating a sales process where both you and your potential customer feel empowered, respected, and free to make the decision that's right for you.
