Paul and Barnabas have great concern for the disciples recently converted to Christ. They know that these followers of Jesus will face regular and varied trials, temptations, and tribulations throughout their time on earth. To ensure that the disciples are not surprised or deterred in the faith, Paul and Barnabas give them the direct message that tribulations will come, and the hope-filled promise that they will enter the kingdom of God. May the Lord strengthen our hearts today with these words.
