Godfidence is a surrendered life at God's terms and not our own. God's terms are simple. Power, Love and Sound Mind or a simple dyad - Justice and Righteousness!
2 Timothy 1:7 He has NOT given us a spirit of Fear but of POWER, LOVE and SOUNDMIND.
Hosea 6:6 He desires mercy, not just sacrifices
Matthew 9:13 He desires mercy
Matthew 12:7 He desires mercy.
Isaiah 1: The sinful nation is broken and rejected. Their sacrifices, feats and gatherings (vs 13-14), and their prayers (vs 15) are rejected.
Solution: - vs 16 righteousness, vs 17 seek justice, vs 19 willing and obedient heart.
Isaiah 1 They trust in rituals - cleanse oneself and seek justice
Isaiah 2 They trust in other men - get rid of the idols
Isaiah 3 They trust in resources and supplies - vs 10 righteousness shall persevere. Vs 10 tell the righteous it shall be well with them!
Godfidence is the courage to carry on.
