Today I head down to Annapolis, the state capital of Maryland, to speak with representatives about issues that affect blind individuals. I get to observe a longstanding process with experienced advocates as we speak with state Senators and delegates about several bills and issues that are important and relevant today. By getting a glimpse into local politics and how advocacy conversations proceed I hope to gain some insights into the power of our voices in our democracy. Enjoy!

As I wrap up my tale as a visually impaired adventurer conquering seemingly mundane challenges I share more of the experience of being in a new place with new eyes with friends and strangers alike. In any large group of people there exists a wide range of perspectives and strengths. Our individual uniqueness among a mass of other unique people does not set us apart - it often draws us closer together. Enjoy!

After arriving in New York, I encountered an issue with my preferred rideshare service (Uber) and some awkwardness with the readily available alternative (yellow cabs). Despite this and several other small hitches, I take the time to appreciate the unique and vibrant atmosphere of Anerica's largest city by population, and continue to have a Good Morning On Purpose. After a sleepless night I attempt to walk and talk in order to stay awake as meetings and work obligations still loom in the coming hours. Throughout my quasi- delirious monologue I tough a bit more on Cicero and his reflection on how one can live a happy life. In this episode I put a cap on my reading and reflection of the work of James Baldwin. I realize that rather than "taking liberties" with his words, I was drawing my own conclusions and insights about his message and how it relates to my life and the world today. I believe that taking the time to explore his work and the work of artist inspired by his message I added one more brush stroke to the mosaic of how to have a Good Morning On Purpose. Enjoy!
