  • Episode 57: Episode 57 - Should Christians be Involved in Politics??
    2026/07/16

In today's episode, Mike and Nate are asking if Christians should be involved in politics..

Should Christians stay out of politics, or is civic engagement part of faithfully living out our faith?

In this episode, we dive into what the Bible says about government, authority, citizenship, and our responsibility as followers of Christ. We discuss why Jesus is our ultimate hope—not politics—while also examining whether Christians have a biblical responsibility to influence the culture around them.

We also look at research showing that millions of professing Christians choose not to vote, how that impacts elections, and why many believers have become disengaged from the political process. Most importantly, we explore how Christians can participate in civic life without making politics an idol.

Whether you vote in every election or have chosen to stay on the sidelines, this conversation is designed to challenge you to think biblically, pray intentionally, and engage your community with wisdom, conviction, and grace.

    Topics Covered:
    • What the Bible says about government and authority
    • Should Christians vote?
    • Can politics become an idol?
    • What it means to be salt and light in today's culture
    • Why millions of Christians don't vote
    • How believers can influence their communities while keeping Christ at the center

"Our hope is not in Washington. Our hope is in Jesus. But while we're here, we're called to faithfully steward every opportunity God gives us—including our voice."

  • Episode 51: Episode 51 - Why Brotherhood Matters for Men
    2026/04/16

    Why Brotherhood Matters for Men
In this episode, we break down why men were never meant to do life alone. Isolation is not strength—it is risk. We talk about how isolation impacts your faith, leadership, and family, and what the Bible says about building real brotherhood.
    What We Cover
    The Danger of Isolation
Isolation weakens men over time and creates space for poor decisions and spiritual attacks. When a man disconnects, his family feels it first.
    📖 Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 | 1 Peter 5:8 | Proverbs 18:1
    Biblical Brotherhood & Mentorship
Strong men in Scripture never stood alone. Growth comes through challenge, accountability, and intentional relationships.
    📖 Proverbs 27:17 | 1 Samuel 18:1–3 | Exodus 17:11–13 | 2 Timothy 2:2
    Building Real Brotherhood
Brotherhood is built through consistency, shared struggle, and accountability—through church, training, and service.
    📖 Hebrews 10:24–25 | James 5:16 | Acts 2:42
    Key Takeaways
Isolation is not toughness—it is exposure
    Brotherhood sharpens and strengthens you
You do not find it—you build it
The men around you shape who you become
    Challenge
Who actually knows what you are dealing with right now?
If the answer is no one, it is time to change that.
    Final Thought:
Men were never meant to fight alone.

  • Episode 50: Episode 50 - Faith & Firearms
    2026/04/08

In today's episode Nate and Mike are talking about Christians carrying firearms. Faith & Firearms!
    Hope you enjoy!

    Episode 50 : Faith and Firearms — A Christian View of Self-Defense.

    1. Is self-defense biblical?
Scripture supports the defense of life while rejecting violence as a goal.

    • Luke 22:36 acknowledges preparedness in dangerous times
    • Exodus 22:2 recognizes justified self-defense in certain situations
    • Nehemiah 4:17-18 shows God’s people working while prepared to defend
    • Psalm 82:4 calls believers to protect the vulnerable
At the same time, Matthew 5:39 addresses personal retaliation, not the defense of others.

    2. Moral responsibility of carrying a weapon
With capability comes accountability and self-control.

    • Luke 12:48 teaches that greater responsibility comes with greater authority
    • Proverbs 25:28 warns against lack of self-control
    • Galatians 5:22-23 emphasizes self-control, patience, and gentleness
    • James 1:19-20 cautions against anger-driven actions

    3. Defense is about protecting life, not aggression
The intent must always be preservation, not escalation.

    • John 15:13 highlights sacrificial love for others
    • Romans 12:18 calls for peace whenever possible
    • Proverbs 4:23 emphasizes guarding the heart and motives
    • Micah 6:8 calls for justice, mercy, and humility
    • Matthew 26:52 warns against living by violence

    Core message:
The Bible supports defending life, but it does not celebrate violence. A Christian who carries a weapon should demonstrate discipline, restraint, and a commitment to protecting others.
