When God is silent and your prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling, it's easy to wonder if He's given up on you. In this message, speaker Leah Hodge asks the question Jesus asked in Luke 18: when the Son of Man returns, will He find faith on the earth? Working through the parable of the persistent widow and the unjust judge, Leah shows why Jesus links real faith to unrelenting prayer — and why giving up on prayer is giving up on hope itself.

Will Christians be judged, even after their sins are forgiven? Pastor Geoff Youlden tackles this uncomfortable question head-on, working from the Old Testament sanctuary service to explain what's really happening in heaven right now on our behalf.

Youlden traces the daily sacrifice, where confessed sin was carried into the Holy Place and the sinner was cleansed, and the yearly Day of Atonement, where the sanctuary itself was cleansed and the accumulated record was placed on the scapegoat — not Christ, as is often mistakenly assumed. Anchored in Daniel 8:14 and Hebrews 9:23, he shows why the heavenly sanctuary must likewise be cleansed, and unpacks the doctrine of imputed sin using 2 Corinthians 5:21 to explain how Christ, and by extension the sanctuary, can bear sin without being sinful.

The heart of the message wrestles with the tension so many believers feel: if forgiveness truly removes sin as far as the east is from the west, why does Scripture still describe a coming judgment? What is Jesus doing in heaven right now? In this study of God's sanctuary, Pastor Geoff Youlden shows that when Jesus ascended after His resurrection, He didn't go straight into the Most Holy Place as many assume — He entered the Holy Place first, where He continues an active, ongoing ministry as our High Priest.

Working through Leviticus 9, 2 Chronicles 7, and the story of Elijah on Mount Carmel, Geoff traces how fire falling from heaven has always signalled God's approval, then connects that pattern to the fire of Pentecost, which marked heaven's acceptance of Christ's death and resurrection. From there he opens Revelation 4 and 5 to picture Jesus ministering before the throne and the altar of incense, and explains why Hebrews 9:12 in the King James Version correctly places Jesus in the Holy Place rather than the Most Holy Place at His ascension.

Drawing on Galatians 2:20, 1 Timothy 2:5, 1 John 2:1 and Hebrews 7:25, Geoff shows that Jesus today serves as our advocate and mediator, interceding for us against the accusations of Satan. Using the picture of a bank manager who pays off every debt but still requires each person to personally come and ask, he explains that while Christ's death provided complete forgiveness for all sin, that forgiveness becomes ours only when we personally confess and ask for it — as David modelled in Psalm 32 and as Peter preached on the day of Pentecost.

The incarnation of Christ is one of the Bible's deepest mysteries: how could Jesus be fully God and fully man at the same time? Christian mental health isn't a side topic here — it's the whole point of Jesus' words in John 14:1, "Don't let your hearts be troubled." Pastor Jacob Boehm opens with a story about how "camping" has quietly turned into a luxury lifestyle, and uses it to ask an uncomfortable question: are we treating this troubled, temporary world as if it's our permanent home?

From there he brings in the numbers — one in five Australians experiencing a mental health disorder in the past year, nearly 40% of 16-to-24-year-olds battling anxiety or depression — and grounds the hope of heaven (John 14:1-3, Hebrews 11:13-16, Revelation 21) as a real, practical answer to a troubled heart, not a distraction from it.

The message also pushes past comfort into consistency: do our actions — our search history, our group chats, our everyday choices — actually match what we say we believe?
