In this episode, I sit down with my friend Jennifer Harr to talk honestly about her breast cancer journey—from diagnosis and treatment to surgery, recovery, and survivorship.

Jennifer shares the moments that tested her faith, the people who surrounded her with love and prayer, and the ways God met her throughout the journey. We talk about the importance of support, allowing others to walk alongside you, finding moments of joy in the middle of difficult circumstances, and continuing to live while facing uncertainty.

Jennifer also shares some of the practical realities of breast cancer treatment and recovery, including her experience participating in a clinical trial involving a lymph-node bypass procedure.

Have you ever felt like you needed to clean yourself up before coming to God?

Romans 5:6–9 reminds us that while we were still helpless—while we were still sinners—Christ died for us.

In this 20th episode of Glow Up in Grace, I share what God impressed upon my heart as I sat with Romans 5:6–9 through the practice of Lectio Divina, which I learned about through a recent She Shall Be Called Woman Bible study.

As I sat with this passage, several words and phrases seemed to jump from the page: helpless, appointed time, God proves His love, justified by His blood, and saved through Him.

And one truth became especially clear to me:

Grace before behavior. Christ before self-improvement. Salvation before transformation.

Have you lived long enough to look back and see evidence of God’s faithfulness—even through grief, uncertainty, waiting, and change?

In Part 2 of this teaching from Psalm 37, I reflect on David’s testimony: “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken…”

I recorded this episode during one of the most tender seasons of my life. As I continue grieving my husband, rebuilding my life, raising our children, and taking one faithful step at a time, God is teaching me that difficult seasons do not erase His faithfulness.

We may not understand God’s timing or know how everything will work out, but we can look back and remember the doors He opened, the prayers He answered, and the strength He gave us when we did not know how we would make it.

In this episode, I share five promises from Isaiah 54 that encouraged my heart during a season of rebuilding.

As many of you know, the past six months have been a season of grief, change, and learning to move forward after the loss of my husband. While spending time in God's Word, Isaiah 54 reminded me that God's promises remain true even when life changes.

I talk about overcoming fear, trusting God's faithfulness, finding comfort in the promise that He will never abandon us, praying for our children, and standing on the assurance that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.

I also share personal reflections on widowhood, God's provision, raising my children after loss, and the ways I have seen God's kindness and faithfulness carry us through this season.

• Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed

• Your Maker is your husband

• God's kindness will not depart from you

• Great shall be the peace of your children
