Welcome to Girls on the Rocks 💋 I’m your Zillennial Sister, and honestly… I’m just trying to figure out how to be a grown woman without losing my girlhood along the way. Around here, we’re talking about life, love, dating, friendship, pop culture, nostalgia, confidence, career, growing up, and everything in between. Basically, all the things we’re texting our group chat about anyway. 😂 Expect a little early-2000s nostalgia, a lot of opinions, some oversharing, random deep dives, stories, laughs, and conversations about the things we’re all figuring out as we go. Sometimes it’ll be just me. Sometimes I’ll bring other women along for the ride. But either way, think of Girls on the Rocks as your favorite corner of the internet where you can pull up, pour yourself something good, and hang out with your Zillennial sister for a while. Because yes, we’re grown. But we’re still girls. 💋🥂 New episodes every other Tuesday. And remember: everything I say here is alleged. Obviously. Inquiries: girlsontherockspod@gmail.comTaylor Jean

Did anyone else think they’d have their entire life figured out by 30? Because SAME. 😂

Welcome back to Girls on the Rocks! In today’s episode, we’re talking about expectation vs. reality in your 30s and how different life can look from the picture you had in your head growing up.

From imagining marriage, kids, and having everything figured out to being single, living on my own, navigating finances, and discovering what I actually want out of life… let’s just say things didn’t exactly go according to plan. 😂

We’re getting real about the pressure to hit certain milestones by a certain age, how our dreams and priorities change as we grow up, and what it’s like when your life doesn’t follow the timeline you once imagined.

But maybe your 30s aren’t about checking every box you thought you’d have checked by now. Maybe they’re about getting to know yourself, finding new hobbies, trying new things, and building a life that makes YOU happy—even if it looks completely different from what you expected.

If you’re navigating your 30s, questioning your old expectations, or wondering whether everyone else has it figured out except you, consider this your reminder that you’re not alone. We’re figuring it out one questionable life decision at a time. 💗

Welcome to Girls on the Rocks—your zillennial sister’s corner of the internet for honest conversations about life, love, friendship, pop culture, nostalgia, confidence, and everything in between.

  • Episode 101 | You're Allowed to Have a Hobby as an Adult
    2026/10/07

When did being an adult become so damn serious?

In the first official episode of the new Girls on the Rocks era, we’re talking about something I think way too many of us forget to make room for as we get older: having hobbies.

I’m telling the story of how I found my way back to dance after years of not really having something that was just mine—from dancing as a kid, to losing that part of myself, to randomly seeing Diva Dance on Instagram and deciding to walk into a class by myself.

And somehow, one dance class turned into friendships, new experiences, training opportunities, a new community, and even a part-time job at the studio.

But this episode isn’t really just about dance. It’s about remembering that you’re allowed to have interests that don’t make you money, advance your career, improve your body, or turn into content.

You don’t have to be good at something. You don’t have to do it with your friends. You don’t have to monetize it. You don’t even have to know where it’s going.

Sometimes you just need something that makes you feel like YOU.

Because I don’t want to get so wrapped up in being somebody’s girlfriend, somebody’s wife, somebody’s mom, somebody’s employee, somebody’s whatever, that I forget that I’m also just Taylor.

So let’s talk about getting our girlhood back, finding the things we loved before we cared whether we were good at them, and giving ourselves permission to simply do shit because it makes us happy.

Plus, we’re getting into Pop Culture Corner because obviously…I have shit to say.

And yes, the slightly nostalgic, low-fi visual vibe is intentional. Consider this your early-2000s home-video version of grown-woman girlhood.

  • Episode 100 | Welcome to the New Girls on the Rocks
    2026/10/07

Girls on the Rocks is BACK—and she’s had a little rebrand.

In this episode, I’m officially welcoming you into the new era of GOTR and catching you up on what’s changed, what’s staying, and why I decided it was time to do things a little differently.

This isn’t just a podcast about being single, dating, or pop culture anymore. It’s about figuring out how to be a grown woman without completely losing the girl you’ve always been—while talking about life, love, friendships, confidence, career, nostalgia, pop culture, and all the wonderfully messy stuff in between.

Think of me as your Zillennial Sister: here to talk shit, share my experiences, ask the questions we’re all secretly asking ourselves, and figure this whole adulthood thing out right alongside you.

Same girl. New era. Same questionable decisions.

Welcome back to Girls on the Rocks.
