  • Why Am I Comparing Myself to Everyone Else?
    2026/09/07

    Episode 43

Why Am I Comparing Myself to Everyone Else?

Finding Your Identity in Christ Instead of the World's Standards

Have you ever scrolled through social media and suddenly felt like your life wasn't enough?

Maybe someone else's marriage looked happier... their ministry seemed bigger... their family looked perfect... or their success made you question your own worth.

Comparison has a way of stealing our joy before we even realize it's happening.

In this heartfelt episode of Girls Can Pray Too, Kara and Misty explore one of the enemy's most subtle tactics—comparison—and how it quietly robs us of gratitude, contentment, and confidence in God's purpose for our lives.

    Together they discuss:

✨ Why comparison steals our joy

✨ How jealousy begins in the heart

✨ Why God never called you to become someone else

✨ How contentment is learned through Christ

✨ Finding your identity in Jesus instead of the opinions of people

If you've ever felt like you don't measure up...

If you've ever wondered why everyone else seems farther ahead...

Or if you've forgotten just how valuable you are to God...

    This conversation is for you.

    Key Scriptures (KJV)

    • Galatians 6:4–5

    • James 3:16

    • Philippians 4:11–13

    • Psalm 139:13–14

    Stop comparing.

    Start trusting.

The God who created you has never made a mistake.

  • Would the Holy Spirit Talk to Me Like That?
    2026/09/03

    🎙 EPISODE 42C: AFTER PRAYER

Would the Holy Spirit Talk to Me Like That?

Testing the Voices You Listen To

    A thought enters your mind:

    “God is disappointed in you.”

“You’ve messed up too many times.”

“If you were really a Christian, you wouldn’t struggle like this.”

    But here’s the question…

Would the Holy Spirit actually talk to you like that?

Not every thought deserves your agreement—and not every spiritual-sounding thought comes from God.

In this After Prayer companion to Episode 42, Kara and Misty continue the conversation about conviction, condemnation, and learning to recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd.

We’re getting practical about how to test what you’re hearing.

✨ Does it agree with Scripture?

✨ Does it sound like the character of Jesus?

✨ Is it specific conviction—or vague accusation?

✨ Does it lead you toward repentance and restoration—or shame and hopelessness?

✨ Are you hearing God's truth… or your own fear, insecurity, past wounds, or the lies of the enemy?

The Holy Spirit will correct you.

    He may reveal sin.

    He may challenge you.

He may tell you something needs to change.

But He doesn't have to destroy your identity to correct your behavior.

Conviction says: “This needs to change. Come to Me.”

Condemnation says: “You'll never change. Stay away.”

    There is a difference.

And the more you know God's Word, the easier it becomes to recognize when something doesn't sound like your Shepherd.

    📖 Key Scriptures (KJV):

    John 10:27 • 1 John 4:1 • Romans 8:1 • John 16:13 • Philippians 4:8

    ❤️ Your challenge:

The next time a condemning thought enters your mind, don't automatically agree with it.

    Stop.

    Test it against Scripture.

    And ask:

“Would the Holy Spirit talk to me like that?”

You don't have to believe every voice competing for your attention.

Learn the Shepherd's voice. Know His Word. Test everything. Follow Him.

    🙏 God loves you.

    ❤️ We love you.

  • Is It Conviction… or Is It Guilt?
    2026/08/31

    🎙EPISODE 42

Is It Conviction… or Is It Guilt?

You messed up. You prayed. You repented.

So why do you still feel guilty?

Is that heavy feeling the Holy Spirit convicting you… or is it condemnation trying to convince you that God is disappointed in you?

Because conviction and condemnation may both make us uncomfortable—but they do not lead us to the same place.

❤️ Conviction says: “Come back to Me.”

💔 Condemnation says: “You’ll never be good enough.”

In this episode, Kara and Misty talk about how to recognize the difference between the loving conviction of the Holy Spirit and the accusing voice that keeps us trapped in guilt and shame.

    We’re digging into:

✨ How to recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd

✨ Why conviction draws you toward Jesus

✨ How condemnation keeps you stuck in your past

✨ Why Satan is called “the accuser”

✨ How to test your thoughts against Scripture

✨ What to do when guilt remains after you’ve already repented

Maybe you’ve been carrying something Jesus already forgave.

Maybe you’ve mistaken shame for God’s voice.

Or maybe the Holy Spirit really is dealing with your heart—and lovingly calling you closer.

    📖 Key Scriptures (KJV): Romans 8:1 • John 10:27–28 • Revelation 12:10 • 1 John 1:9

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…” — Romans 8:1 KJV
