  • Bravery in the Small Moments: Laughter, Limits, and Care
    2025/10/02

Bravery doesn’t always look the way you think it will.

This week, I learned that in real life, bravery can be messy, awkward, and uncomfortable. One night it looked like laughing at a comedy show even though my anxiety told me not to go. Hours later it looked like walking out of a networking event when panic hit me hard. And the very next night, it looked like dragging myself to the ER when my body was screaming for help.

Here’s the truth: bravery isn’t about being fearless. It’s about showing up anyway in the small, ordinary moments that no one claps for.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’m not brave enough,” this episode is going to prove you wrong.

  • Episode 2: What Thyroid Cancer Taught Me About Fear
    2025/09/20

    Episode 2

What Cancer Taught Me About Fear

Fear doesn’t just knock once and leave. It lingers. It whispers. It tries to paralyze you.

In this episode, I share what cancer taught me about fear during one of the hardest seasons of my life. From the five agonizing months of waiting for surgery, to walking into a consultation alone because my partner chose video games over supporting me, to the MRI room where I felt Jesus touch my leg — fear showed up again and again.

But here’s the truth: fear didn’t get the last word. God did.

This episode will remind you that:

    • Fear is real, but it isn’t final.
    • Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s moving forward anyway.
    • Even in your darkest, loneliest moments, you are not alone.

If you’ve ever felt paralyzed by fear, hopeless in the waiting, or forgotten by people who should have been there, this conversation is for you.

Press play and be reminded: you don’t have to wait for fear to disappear to keep living. With God beside you, you can — and you will — be brave anyway.

  • Episode 1 — What Is Be Brave Anyway?
    2025/09/12

In this very first episode, Gina shares the story behind the Be Brave Anyway podcast and the moment it was born a phone call in a testing center that changed everything. From surviving papillary thyroid cancer to walking through domestic violence and rebuilding life as a single mom, Gina opens up about what bravery has looked like in her journey.

This episode isn’t just about her story, it’s about yours too. You’ll be reminded that bravery doesn’t mean waiting for fear to leave. It means taking the next step anyway, even when you feel shaky, broken, or alone. Through faith, honesty, and a whole lot of real talk, Gina invites you to walk this journey with her and discover that your pain can become your pivot, and your shine is still waiting to be seen.
