Kerry on the sentence that took years to say out loud: there's a difference between judging and discerning, and she wasn't doing either. The red flag she watches for now. It isn't what a person believes, it's whether what they say creates separation. What are the rest of us quietly paying to keep the peace? My daughter cut a hole in her sister's convertible. I didn't ask what happened. I asked where she was emotionally. The one that runs my whole life: any time discernment is run by fear, whatever information you get isn't clear.
