This movie gave me exactly what I was hoping for. Dumb fun. I was watching it going - this is kinda silly. This is kinda ridiculous. This isn't all that great...But wait a second - I am really enjoying myself.

I guess you could say that's the....magic of the movie.

Oof. I can't believe I typed that either.

It's deja vu all over again. We're now on the back-fifteen. The road in front of us is forever shorter than the road behind us!

Today I return to the world of Final Destination with the 2nd movie in the series. Better characters. Better kills. Better all around.

Just a better movie.

Happy Father's Day, everybody! Today I happened to celebreate by watching the sequel to 2019's JOKER, which I am pretty sure is the last time my dad and I went to the movies together.

He's fine by the way (I made him hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill today) we just haven't gone to the movies since then.

Anyway - this sequel was so badly received that I was almost giddy to see what everybody hated.

Did I hate it too? Did I agree with the majority of people out there?

Get ready for the judgement day.

This movie probably would have been better if every human character was removed except for Eddie (and even that is debatable). I wanted to see this to finish off the trilogy, but this might be the first true stinker of the month.

There were a few things I liked about it. Just a few. I'm going to make you listen to find out what they are - also I haven't recored the episode at the time I typed this so I need to try to remember myself.

Oof.

Happy Friday the 13th, everybody! Had I thought about it - I probably would have done a horror movie today instead of yesterday, but thems the breaks! Instead today I watched the 2025 Steven Soderbergh spy thriller Black Bag which was surprisingly short - but at the same time the perfect length.

And it answers the age old question, are there more Skarsgårds out there?

The answer, will aways be - yes.

And just like that I decided to start another horror movie series. A trilogy in fact. I assume only a trilogy - but you never know. Today I start the Ti West/Mia Goth triple feature of horror with 2022's X.

It was what I expected but also not quite what I expected. I quite enjoyed it and am looking forward to the other two.

And yes, I covered my eyes a couple times...For the killing - not the...other stuff (well some of that too).

Happy Wednesday Everybody! Day 11! Today I returned to a series that I've seen all the movies for - even though one of them I dared to watch outside of movie month.

It's been seven years since I've watched a new Planet of the Apes movie, but it was like riding a bicycle. Or a horse. I was propelled back into this world pretty quickly and the more I watched this movie, the more I was realizing how much I enjoyed it.

Even a simple human like me can enjoy films like this.

Day 10! We are a third of the way through movie month already! Today I watched a Jack Quaid action/comedy where the main character feels no pain.

I can't say I felt no pain watching it but it was serviceable enough, a few chuckles and I did have one good laugh.

But at least I was able to make my favorite poster image so far this month....
