  • Episode 356: Advice for Experienced Players, Gaming Perspectives with Saul and Jolene
    2026/07/23

Saul was looking at Reddit posts and came across a question. What advice would you give an experienced player. Saul thought about this question and asked himself what advice would he give to himself or any of the players in his RPG groups? He also thought that most advice is geared toward new players but thought there was advice that even experienced TTRPG players could use. Saul mentioned this to Jolene and she questioned why would someone give advice to experienced players? That discussion lead to the current episode. What Advice Would Give to an Experienced TTRPG Player? Thank you all for Listening!

  • Episode 355: Character Creation Systems, Gaming Perspectives with Saul and Jolene
    2026/07/12

Saul was thinking about the different ways characters for TTRPGs are made. At first was the classic D&D which he 1st played in 1978 with his brother and two friends. The Class and Level system that all D&D games Saul played used. Since then D&D was played at various times with various intensity. Then Saul was thinking of Dark Conspiracy which didn't have the classic Class and Level system and had a Lifepath system. Which Saul enjoyed making the character very much. Playing various games over the years where he has played over 100 different TTRPGs he thought about how they handled character creation. Discussing with Jolene about the different TTRPGs they have played and which systems they preferred or were surprised to like. From that discussion this episode topic was formed. Thank you all for Listening!

  • Episode 354: Why Buy Indy TTPRGs, Gaming Perspectives with Saul and Jolene
    2026/06/27

Jolene asked Saul if he bought Indepent publishers TTRPGs. Saul looked at his book shelves and thought that most of his RPGs he had bought were published by "Indy Publishers". Jolene asked him why he bought Indy published RPGs. Saul pontificated why he thought he bought Indy published titles as often as he did. From supporting the little guy, to the varied systems Indy publishers put out, to genres not done by big publishing companies Saul listed his reasons. Jolene went online to see what other people thought on this subject. The result of that discussion and Jolene's foray into the online Indy ttrpg scene is this episode. Thank you all for Listening!
