  • Episode 347: AI in TTRPGs, Gaming Perspectives with Saul and Jolene
    2026/04/10

Jolene was on Youtube watching various videos and came across Ginny D's video about using a service to write your character's background for a TTRPG. She wanted to contrast the difference between the work of people that charged a Low, Medium and High fee for this service. Ginny D was a bit upset on the High priced service when she discovered that the person was using AI. What was worse in Ginny's and Jolene's eyes was that after Ginny sent that person a message asking if the background was done using AI the contracted person denied using AI. Jolene asked Saul about this Ginny D's episode. Saul said that AI is getting pretty invasive in many aspects of life. From professional to amateur work. The use of AI is becoming a big issue in the world that goes far beyond TTRPGs. That discussion lead to the following episode. Thank you all for Listening! • Episode 346: What If the Next D&D Goes All Digital, Gaming Perspectives with Saul and Jolene
    2026/03/30

Jolene and Saul were on Youtube and came across a video by Dungeon Craft and he was talking about the future of D&D. He predicted that when a 6th edition of D&D comes out in the next few years it would be "Digital Only", meaning there would be no physical books and the only way to get the rules is going to be online. Specifically through the D&D Beyond. As evidence, he pointed to a Gizmoto article about how 'the latest now officially called D&D 5.5 looks a bit Video Gamey. He also quoted Chris Cocks President of Hasbro. So after watching this video Saul was convinced that the next incarnation of D&D will be All Digital. Jolene was not so convinced, which lead to a lengthy "discussion" and that became the basis for this episode. What would happen if the next D&D went all Digital? How would it affect the TTRPG Industry? Listen and see what you think. Thank you all for Listening!
