Obedience to God isn't about convenience, as demonstrated through Joseph's life in Genesis 39. Despite being sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, Joseph maintained his integrity and worked excellently, causing his master Potiphar to put him in charge of his household. When faced with persistent temptation from Potiphar's wife, Joseph refused to sin against God and literally ran away from the situation. Though his righteousness led to false accusations and imprisonment, Joseph continued to honor God even in his suffering. His story teaches us to run from sin, work with excellence regardless of our circumstances, and find true comfort in God rather than temporary relief.
