As many of you know, I am serving in this season as the Interim Pastor of Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas — a historic and faithful congregation with a rich legacy of gospel ministry. It is a true honor to serve the people who call Grand Avenue home. Whatever your occupation and vocation may be, you need to consider this subject today very seriously and strategically. If you are a genuine follower of Jesus, you know already how much Jesus Christ makes a difference in your life. One of the most important subjects in the Scriptures is our subject this week: “Walking With The Lord.” Colossians 2:6 says, “As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” A walk with Jesus Christ unfolds step by step and decision by decision. While some parts of this walk are due to God’s activity in our lives, the other parts should be us initiating this walk with the Lord daily. In fact, it should deepen and become even more disciplined as you mature in Christ.
