  • Trust in the Trenches; Lifter of My Soul
    2025/07/22

    Welcome to Episode 12 of Flame of Grace! In this Episode, after only being at the rehab for about a month Rowell lands back in the ER, then began another journey of patience and faith that started to shift everything. God was moving in many ways, showing His timing and helping Adriana use those moments to create artistically. July was a month of major purging and cleansing, where Adriana’s life began to transform. Where she saw and felt the Lord setting her apart and testing her obedience and stripping her of all things that were not of God. Rowell began showing a lot of life and expression and the season seemed it was coming to an end and moving in acceleration. Adriana once again had to learn how to truly trust in God. There are a lot of times where we think it's the time for something to happen and yet we can’t see what God sees. In retrospect, even at the time she thought she was ready for the miracle, yet as she looks back, she sees how God continued to prune and cleanse her from all things that would hinder her from becoming the woman God intended her to be. Can we trust God even when in our eyes things seem one way but His plan is showing another? Can we trust the One who knows us better than we know ourselves?

    For it is written:

    "Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning;

    For I trust in You;

    Teach me the way in which I should walk;

    For to You I lift up my soul.

    Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies;

    I take refuge in You.

    Teach me to do Your will,

    For You are my God;

    Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

    For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive me.

    In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble."

    -Psalm 143: 8-11

  • Pressing of the Olives; Promise on the Shore
    2025/06/12

    Welcome to Episode 11 of Flame of Grace ! In this episode Rowell and Adriana embark on their journey finally leaving the hospital, trusting God as He leads them to the water: to Rockaway Beach. Having it be the only place out of over 200 places they applied that accepted, Adriana knew in her spirit, God was asking her to trust Him fully. As she experiences the newness of their environment and Rowell begins showing improvement, she celebrates her 30th birthday on the shores of the Rockaways, feeling lonely but knowing she’s not alone. Though uncertain times were ahead, God shows her a rainbow in the sky, a rainbow on the shores of Rockaway, a beautiful promise on her birthday that confirms that the move was Gods will. This being the first few weeks after vowing and surrendering her voice, the attacks of the enemy in her dreams began and the Lord used this time to truly prune and shape her character, helping expose parts of her that needed to be healed and transformed. The pressing and crushing of the olives and wine of her spirit began, and she began to feel herself transforming into the likeness of Christ, a little bit at a time.

    How is God using the pressing, crushing and painful storms of your situation to produce the beauty of the oil and wine that will flow out of you? Do we find it difficult to keep our eyes on Jesus while the storm rages? Is He sleeping in your boat on your sea of despair and is He asking you to walk on the water and keep your eyes on Him? Where do you keep your gaze? On the calmness of His rest during the storm? On His confidence and faith in the impossible? Or on the raging storm of circumstances?

    When we give our trust to the Lord, He works mighty wonders through us, where are your eyes?

    For it is Written:

    Psalm 121

    "The Lord the Keeper of Israel."

    I will lift up my eyes to the hills [of Jerusalem]—

    From where shall my help come? [Jer 3:23]

    My help comes from the Lord,

    Who made heaven and earth.

    He will not allow your foot to slip;

    He who keeps you will not slumber. [1 Sam 2:9; Ps 127:1; Prov 3:23, 26; Is 27:3]

    Behold, He who keeps Israel

    Will neither slumber [briefly] nor sleep [soundly].

    ¶The Lord is your keeper;

    The Lord is your shade on your right hand. [Is 25:4]

    The sun will not strike you by day,

    Nor the moon by night. [Ps 91:5; Is 49:10; Rev 7:16]

    The Lord will protect you from all evil;

    He will keep your life.

    The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in [everything that you do]

    From this time forth and forever. [Deut 28:6; Prov 2:8; 3:6]

  • A Vow to God; A Song in the Night
    2025/06/05

    Welcome to Episode TEN of Flame of Grace! In this episode, Adriana recaps the very last months Rowell is in the hospital before officially moving to the Rehab/Nursing center they currently reside. The story resumes at the start of Holy Week 2024, where prayers were answered in many ways and the Holy Spirit moved within Adriana creatively while she still trekked through the deep sunless valley of her wilderness season. Here, at the bedside of Rowells hospital bed, crying out to God and expressing herself through spontaneous worship, her first official worship song was birthed! “Hosanna” was a product of pure and true worship in the most painful place in her life. The pressures of having to leave the hospital while Rowells respiratory status was unsteady and everything seemed to be overwhelming; God was telling her to be patient and trust Him. “Even though I don’t see…I believe “ she wrote, as Adriana continued to carry the cross of her tribulation alongside her love Rowell, who was fighting day and night in Faith, the Faith the Lord gifted them both by His grace. A powerful surrender was made and a vow to God to dedicate her voice was declared, and with that she began to fully allow Jesus to be Lord of her life. “Be still” and “stand firm” was what she held onto as she battled with Ephesians 6 and put her armor of God on! “I can’t be afraid of change” she said “LEAVE ME fear! Only the Prince of Peace is welcome” she exclaimed as she finally began to feel equipped in battle as they neared their last days in the hospital. A new journey would begin, far off on the shores of Rockaway Beach, where God would continue to work and show His mighty hand, even when she didn’t at first realize.

    Have you ever felt you had to at first see to believe? The very definition of Faith is to believe in what is unseen!

    "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” -Hebrews 11:1 KJV

    It can be very difficult to believe, and that’s why we have Our Lord Jesus to lean on and Gods word to fight back with! Knowing Gods promises for us and Gods character is so important during difficult times, knowing He NEVER leaves us nor forsakes us! Often times in the psalms we hear David crying out in ways we recognize in our own hearts. And He always praises God for who He is. Can you recount all the moments God worked in your life during difficult times to remind yourself that your current struggle is just as safe in His hands? He’s always with you, by you, in you…working it all for your good!

    “Therefore my spirit feels weak within me; My heart is appalled within me. I remember the days of old;I meditate on all Your accomplishments; I reflect on the work of Your hands. I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah. Answer me quickly, Lord, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will be the same as those who go down to the pit. 8Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning, For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. Save me, Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in You. Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For the sake of Your name, Lord, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.” - Psalm 143:4-11

  • Beneath the Fig Tree; Washed by the Blood
    2025/05/29

    Welcome to Episode NINE of Flame of Grace! In this episode, after being unsafely discharged from the hospital to a rehab center, Rowell is brought back to the ER the same day and the unending journey of advocacy for Rowell's safety once again began. After a difficult few days Adriana describes this moment as a “Red Sea” moment, in Gods infinite mercy and grace He delivered them in record time to be admitted and it really gave Adriana a new perspective on her faith and control of the situation. GOD WORKS WHILE WE WAIT! A lesson she had to live, as she continued to surrender her own will for Gods will over this situation. God sent many angels to guide and protect her and Rowell and the desire to just let go and let God, was stronger than ever. “Wash me in the Blood of Jesus”she cried out. It always astounded her how detailed the Lord is when He sends help, it always seems to be exactly what’s needed because God cares about the details of our lives and just like Nathaniel under the Fig tree, He hears us even when we don’t think anyone does. Our suffering is not in vain and we cannot allow fear to confuse us of what it means when we suffer.

    For it is written: “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out ‘Abba! Father!’. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.” Romans 8:13-17

    May we stand in the truth that we are children of God and that fear has no dominion over us and that God hears us and cares for us and loves us so deeply He sent His only Son to die for us, so that we may have freedom. When you cry out to God know that He hears you and He’s washing you in the Blood of Jesus, bringing you closer to Him, cleansing you and pruning you through this suffering and helping us understand that

    “….The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives strength to the weary and to the one who lacks might He increases power.” - Isaiah 40:28-29

  • Power of Praise; Cedars in Lebanon
    2025/05/06

    Welcome to Episode EIGHT of Flame of Grace! In this Episode after a long Holy week/Easter break, Adriana returns to continue the story of Rowell's post cranioplasty surgery. With the power of praising God through all uncertainty, Adriana knew that God was “bigger than her circumstances” and praise was poured out upon her lips, praise for the past, present and future. Finally moving to the Step down Unit, a constant battle of stress, anxiety and pressure from the circumstances of the situation began to take a toll mentally and emotionally. Amidst the pain, drama also was quick to pursue, but God used creativity to help Adriana release her pain through her music and surprised her in His ways of moving and providing. Rowell was eventually unsafely discharged after constant effort and research in facilities seemed to hit dead ends and drown her in scary possibilities. Yet God still moved powerfully through all of it and although she didn’t know or understand, trust in the Fathers plan and gratitude and praise was her recipe for faith. No matter what or how she was spoken against or Rowells situation was spoken on, God was her rock and deliverer.

    As it is written, “It is good to gives thanks to the Lord and sing praises to Your name, Most High; To declare Your goodness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,…For you Lord, have made me joyful by what you have done, I will sing for joy over the works of your hands! How great are your works Lord, Your thoughts are very deep. …The righteous person will flourish like the palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon…To declare that the Lord is just; He is my rock, and there is no malice in Him” - Psalm 92: 1- 2;4-5;12;15

    Sometimes it’s hard to praise or give gratitude when things seem dark and adversaries come against us; but just like David when he said “If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident” - Psalm 27:3

    We cannot forget who fights for us! There is power in our praise! Our Father is our vindication and our refuge! He plants us in the garden and makes us strong like cedars: a symbol of resilience and endurance, strength, greatness, holiness and peace; to flourish as we admire His works.

    How can we dig deeper to praise in times of pain? How can we remind ourselves that is it He who plants us, uproots us, helps us grow and makes us flourish!

  • Wind and Waves; Rest for Your Soul
    2025/04/02

    Welcome to Episode SEVEN of Flame of Grace! In this episode Adriana speaks on Rowell's journey after a major skull replacement surgery. Amidst the news and opinions of medical professionals and the harsh logical reality of her situation, more family drama adds onto the frustrations and complications emotionally of walking through this valley. However the Lord places a song on her heart

    “It’s not a maybe, no doubts or maybes, no ifs or maybes, it’s solid baby. God made you so He can bring you through, don’t be afraid of this just know that you were made for this”

    Amen! Jesus is so kind to us and loves to remind us in our creativity or uses our gifts to speak to us and the Lord knew exactly how to help Adriana through this turbulent time; keeping her focused on HIS opinion only. Sometimes during trials we find it hard to hear Gods voice and circumstances can seem like harsh wind and waves beating at us, but the Lord gives us strength even if the conditions don’t change, WE do. The Lord also placed another song on Adriana’s heart during this time as she struggled with the gravity of her situation, and her song “Life is so Hard” was born. In this episode she plays the original raw ukulele recording of this song, and this was her first official release during this time after Rowell fell. To listen to the official release, please visit www.Aadelinemusic.com or search “Adriana Adeline” on all platforms if you’d like to hear the finished version of how the Lord spoke through her. Expressing herself creatively was helping her to see herself again, although a long process, sometimes we must ask ourselves “How do I get back to Me? What do I do best? What can I do to make myself feel whole again?” And the answer to all these questions is JESUS! Our Lord and savior makes us whole and guides us through all of our pain and highlights to us our strengths while also working in our weakness and cares so much for all the details of our lives. His burden is light and He wants to give you rest for your soul! Do you need to feel whole again? Are you lost so deep and forgotten yourself so much that you don’t know a way back? There is a way, His name is Jesus and It is written:

    “Come to me, all who are weary and heavily burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

    Matthew 11:28-30

  • Crushed in Spirit; Favored in Distress
    2025/03/25

    Welcome to Episode SIX of Flame of Grace! In this episode, as the year 2024 begins, Adriana continues the story of Rowell after his recent ICU stay after a sudden mucus plug; despite certain setbacks, there was improvement by the Grace of God. Finally being stable enough to be moved to the Step Down unit, new challenges arise that cause a sudden need for an important surgery that would relieve the rare condition Rowell developed overtime without his skull. As always, it was an emotional heart wrenching anxiety filled time that was battled with faith. Even in moments where our spirits are crushed and it seems hopeless, there is always a glimmer of hope and light in Jesus. And even in these moments Adriana could see and feel the favor in her distress and pain. He hears you and sees you in all moments of your life.

    It is written “I sought the Lord and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them….The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears. And rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. The afflictions of the righteous are many, But the Lord rescues him from them all.”

    -Psalm 34: 4-7;17-19

    As you seek the Lord sometimes it feels like when you cry out or are in times of trouble it can seem as though God is not listening, but God sees, listens and knows all and is very near to the brokenhearted. He wants to save us and comfort us and His love is everlasting and continually surrounding us. In moments where we are caught in our afflictions, The Lord rescues us from them all. Can you feel Jesus near to you during your distress and broken heartedness? Do not fear because He is there with you, helping you through it, for it is written; Gods word never comes back void.

  • Wineskins in the Smoke; Faithfully Afflicted
    2025/03/18

    Welcome to Episode FIVE of Flame of Grace! In this Episode, as the year 2023 comes to an end and we near Christmas and the New Year, Adriana and Rowell are faced with once more, a multitude of challenges and circumstances that seem bleak and impossible. But with Gods saving Grace and strength, Rowell continues to fight on and Adriana continues to surrender in faith to Gods will. After weeks of what seemed like forward steady progress, a wave of uncertainty once again washes over them as Rowell lands back in the ICU after Christmas, followed by even more crushing circumstances. Amidst these struggles; drama and emotional turmoil try to derail Adriana’s faith but with the help of Jesus she is able to overcome and keep fighting another day. Sometimes we feel like we go through unimaginable things and the Lord isn’t there for us to comfort us, but we know that’s not true. God is always there for us especially in times of trouble, but the emotions we feel can be so heavy we almost forget that affliction is sometimes the only way we learn how to truly walk in the way of the Lord and seek Him fully. Oftentimes we are faithfully afflicted, waiting on the Lord, marching in line with His will, knowing that it is written:

    “It is good for me that I was afflicted, So that I may learn your statutes. The Law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces. Your hands made me and fashioned me.

    I know, LORD, that your judgements are righteous, And that you have afflicted me in faithfulness. May your favor comfort me, According to your word to your servant”

    “My soul languishes for your salvation; I wait for your word. My eyes fail with longing for your word, While I say ‘When will you comfort me?’ Though I have become like wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget your statues.”

    • Psalm 119: 71-73; 75-76; 81-83

    Although you’re afflicted and feeling cracked and dried after being hung in the smoke of your circumstances, will you remember that the word of the Lord is better than thousands of gold and silver pieces? Through psalm 119 we can see the plea of longing for comfort, but faithfully willing and ready to learn and remember the statutes of God, who’s made and fashioned us. How can He forget you? He never will! Can you trust and wait on God for what He has for you even in the thick smoke of affliction?
