  • What I’m Doing at 42 to Feel Better at 52
    2026/10/01

What am I doing at 42 so that 52-year-old Sarah is really freaking glad I took care of her?

Surprisingly, this episode doesn't start with protein, supplements, skincare—or even working out.

It starts with who and what I allow access to my life.

Over the last few years, I've realized that feeling better physically isn't separate from my relationships, stress, schedule, mental health, or the life I'm actually creating. Sometimes the biggest change isn't another workout or another supplement. Sometimes it's getting out of an environment you didn't even realize was making you miserable.

In this episode of Fighting For Your Fairytale, I'm sharing what I'm actually doing—and still figuring out—at 42 as I think about the woman I want to be at 52.

We're talking about why I've traded a lot of intense cardio for walking and lifting heavy, why getting stronger excites me more than simply burning calories, and why my goal isn't necessarily to be smaller at 52—I want to be able to DO stuff.

I'm also getting into my approach to nutrition and the endless conflicting wellness rules on the internet, experimenting with supplements (including why creatine has become one of my personal non-negotiables), and why I believe research matters—but so do your individual goals, health and body.

And then we get into the stuff I'm very much still working through: reaching the weight I once thought would make me happy with my body...and still finding things to criticize. My dancer brain. My relationship with the scale. My habit of creating a plan and then wanting to completely redesign it approximately six minutes later. 😂

Plus: enjoying Disney and dinner with friends without making “being healthy” my entire personality, trying to take skincare seriously when I HATE washing my face, and my ongoing battle with putting lotion on my body.

Because apparently taking care of Future Sarah involves boundaries, dumbbells, protein, creatine, birthday cake, sunscreen...and learning to put the freaking lotion on. 😂

    My biggest takeaway?

Move your body. Get strong. Nourish yourself. Get outside. Sleep. Protect your peace. Figure out the handful of things that actually matter for YOU—and enjoy your freaking life.

I don't know exactly what 52-year-old Sarah will need. But I want her to look back at this version of me and be really happy that I took care of her. 💗

  • I Finally Have a Life I Can Say Yes To
    2026/09/17

There was a time in my life when saying yes to a random Tuesday night dinner with a group of women would have felt almost impossible.

Not because I didn't want to go. Because I had built a life with absolutely no margin for it.

I taught six (sometimes seven) days a week, helped run our business, and somehow convinced myself that taking time off—for dinner, lunch with a friend, even an Elton John concert Tony bought me tickets to—was something I should feel guilty about.

    And the crazy part?

I didn't realize how much my life had consumed me until I stepped outside of it.

In this episode of Fighting For Your Fairytale, I'm talking about what I've learned since leaving that season of my life, why your dream life might look a whole lot more “ordinary” than you imagined, and something I'm realizing even now: I'm starting to fill every minute of my schedule again.

We're talking about creating margin, learning to say no, making room to say yes to yourself, outgrowing a life you once loved, and asking whether you actually “don't have time”—or whether you've built a life that doesn't have room for the things you say matter to you.

Plus, I'm sharing three completely random things making my life a little better right now… including the TMI supplement update nobody asked for, how I'm using ChatGPT in my kitchen, and the very sophisticated act of buying myself an iced coffee. 😂

    Your Fairytale Fight this week:
What's one thing you keep saying you want to do but “don't have time for”? Look at your life and ask: Do I truly not have time—or have I built a life that doesn't have room for it?

You only get one life. Make room to actually live it.

  • What Are You Fighting For? | Fighting For Your Fairytale Is Back
    2026/09/09

    What Are You Fighting For?

Fighting For Your Fairytale is officially back — but a lot of life has happened since we last sat behind the microphones.

For the relaunch, Sarah is joined by her husband Tony for an honest conversation about what “fighting for your fairytale” actually means after nearly 20 years together, 33 years of Tony building businesses, a move to a new state, career changes, health challenges, financial struggles, changing friendships, and more than a few seasons that looked nothing like a fairytale while they were living them.

It starts with a question Sarah and Tony once asked each other about their relationship:

If you knew it was going to be this hard, would you still have done it?

    Their answer might surprise you.

Because the fairytale isn't a life where nothing goes wrong. Go back to almost any fairytale you've ever loved and there was a villain, an obstacle, a battle or a seemingly impossible moment before the happily ever after.

Real life isn't all that different.

In this episode, Sarah and Tony talk about resilience, knowing your why, taking responsibility for the life you want, having faith while still taking action, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, and why the part of someone else's success you see is rarely the whole story.

Whether the thing you're fighting for right now is your marriage, health, career, finances, faith, family, friendships or simply becoming the person you know you're capable of being, this conversation is your reminder:

You can want the fairytale. But you have to be willing to fight for it.

    • Why Sarah decided it was finally time to relaunch the podcast
    • The question that changed the way Sarah and Tony looked at their marriage
    • Why a “fairytale life” doesn't mean an easy life
    • What nearly 20 years together has taught them about sticking through hard seasons
    • Tony's perspective after 33 years as an entrepreneur
    • The difference between wanting something and being willing to work for it
    • Health, finances, relationships and the unglamorous work nobody sees
    • Faith, action and learning to trust your gut
    • Why knowing your why matters when things get hard
    • What starting over and building community has taught Sarah
    • Why other people's fear doesn't get to determine your dream
    • The question Sarah wants you to answer for yourself: What are you fighting for?
