I AM THE TRUE VINE | Connected to Christ or Headed for Disaster?

Can a branch survive after being disconnected from the vine? Can a life produce godly fruit while separated from Jesus Christ? In John 15:1–8, Jesus gives a sobering declaration: “I am the true vine.” He warns us that apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value.

A person may be religious, successful, admired, and surrounded by material possessions, yet remain spiritually barren because there is no living connection with Christ. Sin promises freedom but produces separation. Separation produces spiritual dryness. Spiritual dryness produces decay—and continued rejection of Christ ends in judgment.

This prayer does not encourage careless or reckless living. It calls us to walk in faith, wisdom, obedience, vigilance, repentance, and complete dependence upon Jesus Christ. Our confidence is not in human strength, charms, possessions, or earthly power. Our confidence is in the living God.

Pray this powerful divine protection prayer:

• Before traveling or flying
• Before going to sleep
• When you feel afraid or anxious
• When praying for your children and family
• When facing spiritual attacks
• When seeking protection from accidents and danger
• During storms, disasters, violence, or uncertainty

JESUS THE GOOD SHEPHERD: WHO IS REALLY LEADING YOUR LIFE?

Many voices are competing to control your decisions, shape your values, and determine your destiny. Culture is calling. Sin is calling. Fear, pride, pleasure, money, and human approval are calling. But above the noise, Jesus Christ—the Good Shepherd—is calling you to listen, surrender, and follow Him.

Jesus declared in John 10:11 (NIV), “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” Unlike false shepherds who exploit, deceive, and abandon people, Jesus loves His sheep, protects His sheep, guides His sheep, and gave His life to save His sheep.

But the question is not merely whether Jesus is the Good Shepherd. The real question is: Is Jesus truly the Shepherd of your life?

Who controls your choices? Whose voice carries the greatest authority in your heart? Are you following Jesus Christ, or are you being led by worldly desires, popular culture, sinful habits, political opinions, fear, pride, or personal ambition?

Jesus said in John 10:27 (NIV), “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” Genuine sheep do not merely admire the Shepherd—they listen to Him and follow Him. It is impossible to claim Jesus as your Shepherd while continually rejecting His Word, resisting His correction, and walking in deliberate disobedience.

I AM THE GATE | Jesus Is the Only Way to Salvation | John 10:7–9
