• Ep 235 // When God Doesn't Give You What You Prayed For
    2026/09/22
What do you do when you pray faithfully, believe God can change your situation, and yet the answer doesn't come the way you hoped? Sometimes the hardest part of faith isn't trusting God when He says yes. It's learning to trust Him when your prayers seem unanswered, when you're waiting longer than you expected, or when what feels like a “no” from God leaves you disappointed, confused, or grieving. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking honestly about unanswered prayer and trusting God when He doesn't give you what you prayed for. We'll look at Psalm 13 and David's honest conversation with God. He begins by asking, “How long, Lord?” and doesn't hide his disappointment or confusion. Yet by the end of the Psalm, David is able to say, “But I trust in your unfailing love.” That tension is at the heart of this conversation: you can be disappointed with what God has allowed and still trust who God is. Lindsay also shares vulnerably from her own experience of praying for God to heal her husband and bring him back to her, and what it means to continue trusting God when the answer to that prayer was not what she desperately hoped for. Maybe your story is completely different. Maybe you're waiting for God to change a situation in your family, open a door, answer a prayer you've prayed for years, or make sense of something that doesn't make sense. Wherever you are, this episode is a reminder that you don't have to pretend you're okay with an answer you didn't want. You can bring your disappointment, questions, grief, and confusion honestly to God while continuing to trust His character. In this episode, you'll discover: Why disappointment with God doesn't mean you've lost your faithHow to bring unanswered prayers honestly to GodThe difference between trusting God's character and understanding His planWhy “what feels like a no from God” can be so difficult to processHow Psalm 13 gives us a biblical example of honest prayerWhat surrender looks like when you still wish the outcome were differentHow to keep walking faithfully when you don't have an explanationWhy you don't have to walk through a difficult season alone A Scripture to hold onto Psalm 13:5 (NIV): “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.” And 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 reminds us that God is the “God of all comfort” who comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from Him. If you're walking through something hard... If you're praying and waiting, wrestling with what feels like a “no” from God, or trying to make sense of a circumstance you never would have chosen, you don't have to process it alone. • Ep 234 // How to Stop Bringing Work Stress Home With You
    2026/09/17

You made it through the workday, but the stress didn't stay at work.

You walk through the front door, but your mind is still replaying the difficult conversation, frustrating situation, unfinished task, or everything waiting for you tomorrow. Then your family needs you—and you realize you're physically home, but emotionally, you're still at work.

If you've ever struggled with bringing work stress home, this episode is for you.

In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about how to create a healthier transition from work to home without pretending that your stressful day didn't affect you. As working Christian moms, we can't always control what happens during our workday, but we can be intentional about how we transition into the rest of our evening.

    We'll talk about:

    • How to recognize the emotional impact a difficult workday can have on you
    • Why physically leaving work doesn't always mean you've mentally left work
    • Simple ways to create a transition from work mode to home mode
    • How to stop allowing work stress to spill over into your interactions with your family
    • Why constantly thinking about a problem doesn't necessarily mean you're being responsible
    • What it looks like to bring your work-related stress and worries to God
    • How Psalm 55:22 reminds us to cast our cares on the Lord
    • How to be present with your family even when you've had a hard day

Most importantly, you'll be reminded that you don't have to walk through your front door completely calm, happy, and recovered from the day in order to be a present mom. You can acknowledge that the day was hard, create a transition, and entrust what you can't control to God.

Your work will still be there tomorrow. Tonight, you have the opportunity to be home.

    Scripture mentioned: Psalm 55:22

  • Ep 233 // The Pressure to Be a Good Mom Is Making You a Tired Mom
    2026/09/15
Are you exhausted from trying to be a good mom? The pressure to do motherhood perfectly can leave you feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, and constantly behind. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about the invisible checklist so many working moms carry—the homemade meals, school events, work responsibilities, patience, family time, spiritual life, and all the little things we think a “good mom” should be able to manage. But what if the standard you're trying to meet isn't actually God's standard? Perfection isn't a finish line. It's a treadmill. And when we constantly measure ourselves against an impossible definition of a good mom, we don't become better mothers—we become tired mothers. We’ll look at motherhood through a biblical perspective and consider what God actually asks of us. From Micah 6:8 to the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10, we'll talk about the difference between faithfully caring for our families and living under the pressure to prove we're doing enough. You don't have to be a perfect mom. You don't have to do everything. And you don't have to carry every expectation placed on you. In this episode, you'll learn how to: Recognize the unrealistic expectations behind “good mom” pressureIdentify the difference between God's standards and cultural expectationsUnderstand why constantly trying to do more can leave you emotionally exhaustedThink biblically about perfectionism and motherhoodRelease one unnecessary expectation from your mental checklistMake room for rest, grace, and what God has actually entrusted to you Scripture Mentioned Micah 6:8 — Acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God Luke 10:38–42 — Mary and Martha Philippians 4:13 — Finding strength and contentment through Christ Colossians 3:23 — Doing our work for the Lord rather than for the approval of others A Simple Practice for This Week Take a look at your invisible “good mom” checklist. Choose one thing you've been telling yourself you have to do in order to be a good mom—and let it go. Skip it. Delegate it. Say no to it. Or simply decide that it doesn't need to be done perfectly. Then notice what happens when you stop trying to prove you're a good mom and start focusing on faithfully loving the people God has placed in front of you. You are not called to perfect motherhood. You are called to walk with God and faithfully steward what He has entrusted to you. 2026/09/10
A Biblical Way to Stop Living Pulled in Every Direction When everything feels important, it can feel impossible to know where to put your attention. As a working Christian mom, you may not actually need to learn how to do more. You may need to learn how to discern what deserves your attention right now—and be okay with letting something else wait. Because sometimes we know exactly what needs our attention. The harder part is giving ourselves permission to focus on that one thing without feeling guilty about everything we're not doing. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about biblical priorities, time management, mental overload, and the pressure to give everything our attention at once. We'll look at Martha and Mary in Luke 10 and what Jesus' response to Martha teaches us about being worried and distracted by many things. You'll be encouraged to recognize that not everything important needs your attention right now—and that living within the limits God has given you isn't a failure. In This Episode, You'll Discover: Why feeling overwhelmed isn't always about having too much to doWhy important things don't always need your attention right nowHow mental overload can keep you from being fully presentWhy saying “not right now” to something good can be a wise choiceWhat the story of Martha and Mary teaches us about distraction and discernmentWhy your limited time, energy, and attention are not a failureHow to stop feeling guilty about what you're allowing to waitTwo simple questions to ask when you feel pulled in every directionHow to trust God with what isn't getting your attention right nowWhy biblical faithfulness doesn't mean giving everything your attention A Simple Practice for This Week The next time you feel pulled in multiple directions, pause before responding and ask: “What deserves my limited attention in this moment?” Then ask: “What can I trust God with while I give my attention to this?” You don't have to give everything your attention to be faithful. You can choose what matters right now—and be okay with letting the rest wait. • Ep 230 // Why Is It So Hard to Say No? How Christian Women Can Stop People-Pleasing Without the Guilt
    2026/09/03
You know you’re already stretched thin. You know you don’t have the capacity for one more thing. And yet, when someone asks you to help, volunteer, take on another responsibility, or make room for one more thing, you say yes. Not because you actually have the time. Not because you really want to. But because saying no feels harder than saying yes. If you’re a Christian woman who struggles with people-pleasing, guilt, or feeling responsible for everyone around you, this episode is for you. As working Christian moms, we can become incredibly good at making room for things we don't actually have room for. We squeeze it in. We get up earlier. We stay up later. We rearrange our schedules. We take on one more thing—and then wonder why we're so overwhelmed. But sometimes the problem isn't that we don't know our limits. Sometimes we struggle to say no because of what we think saying no might mean about us. Will they think I'm selfish? Will they think I don't care? Will they be disappointed? Am I being a good Christian if I don't help? In this episode, we're going deeper than simply learning how to set boundaries. We're talking about why saying no can feel so difficult, how guilt can keep us overcommitted, and what biblical faithfulness actually looks like when our capacity is limited. You'll learn: Why saying yes can feel easier than disappointing someoneHow people-pleasing can contribute to overwhelm and overcommitmentWhy not every good opportunity is something God has asked you to carryHow to recognize the difference between guilt and convictionWhy someone else's disappointment isn't necessarily your responsibilityHow Jesus modeled living according to the Father's will rather than everyone's expectationsQuestions to ask before automatically saying yesHow to begin making more confident yeses and more confident nosWhy your foundational priorities matter when deciding what deserves your time, energy, and attention One of the most important questions we can learn to ask is: “Is this mine?” Not, “Could I technically make this work?” Because most moms are remarkably good at making things work. The better question is, “Does this fit within what God has entrusted to me?” Faithfulness isn't doing everything. Faithfulness is doing what God has asked you to do. And sometimes that means saying yes. Sometimes it means sacrificing. And sometimes faithfulness means recognizing that you've reached your limit and refusing to take on something God never asked you to carry. If you’re ready to stop living from guilt and start making more intentional decisions about what deserves your yes, this episode will help you take that first step. Want help getting clear on your priorities? This is something we go much deeper into inside Faithfully Balanced, my course for working Christian moms who want to stop living overwhelmed and start living intentionally. Inside Faithfully Balanced, we work through your foundational priorities so you can get clear on what God has actually entrusted to you and build your life around those things. Because the goal isn't simply to become really good at saying no. The goal is to become really clear about what deserves your yes. When you know what matters most, your yes becomes a more confident yes because you know what you're saying yes to—and your no becomes a more confident no because you know what you're protecting. • Ep 229 // You Don’t Have to Be the Woman Who Can Do It All - Just Because You Can Carry It Doesn’t Mean You Should
    2026/09/01
Just Because You Can Carry It Doesn’t Mean You Should

As a working Christian mom, it can be easy to believe that being faithful means being available, capable, and dependable all the time. But what if you were never meant to carry everything?

In today's episode, I'm talking about the pressure many women feel to do more, handle more, and keep everything together. The problem isn't always that we're doing bad things. Sometimes we're simply carrying too many good things.

God created us with limits. Our time, energy, and attention are finite—and those limitations aren't something we need to overcome. They're something we need to steward.

Instead of asking, “How can I fit more into my life?” we can begin asking, “What has God actually asked me to carry?”

You'll be encouraged to consider the difference between being capable and being called, recognize when you're carrying responsibilities God hasn't given you, and find freedom in trusting Him with what you cannot carry.

You don't have to be the woman who can do it all.

You can be the woman who knows what God has asked her to do—and trusts Him with the rest.

    In This Episode:
    • Why being capable doesn't mean you have to say yes
    • The difference between being capable and being called
    • Why God-given limitations aren't a weakness
    • How to steward your time, energy, and attention
    • A simple question to ask before taking on another responsibility
    • Why saying no doesn't automatically mean you're selfish
    • Learning to trust God with what you cannot carry
    Scripture Mentioned:

Matthew 11:28–30 — Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come to Him.

Colossians 1:17 — “In him all things hold together.”

    Your Takeaway

Before you automatically say yes this week, pause and ask:

    “Is this mine to carry?”

    Not Can I do it?

Not Will someone be disappointed if I don't?

But Is this mine to carry?

Your capacity is limited for a reason. You don't have to maximize every minute or meet every need. Faithfulness isn't doing everything you're capable of doing. Faithfulness is doing what God has asked you to do within the capacity He has given you.

You can put some things down.

    You can ask for help.

    You can say no.

And you can trust God with the rest.

  • Ep 228 // The Ministry of Showing Up Anyway - Finding Joy at a Job You Didn't Choose
    2026/08/27

Not every job is a calling you picked — and for a lot of working moms, that's exactly the point. In this episode, we talk honestly about what it looks like to show up faithfully in work you didn't choose, why that counts as ministry, and how to find real joy even when you don't want to be there.

This one is especially for the moms working because they have to, not because it was ever really a choice — and for anyone who's felt like they don't quite belong in the stay-at-home-mom world or the career-mom world. You're not alone in that in-between space.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Why not loving your job doesn't mean your faith is weak
    • What Joseph's story in Genesis teaches us about faithfulness in seasons we didn't choose
    • The difference between happiness and joy — and why you can be honest about hating your job and still carry joy
    • A word for moms who feel like they don't have "their people"
    • One simple thing to carry with you this week, no plan required

    Scripture referenced:

    • Genesis 39–41 (Joseph in Potiphar's house and prison)
    • Colossians 3:23
