  • Doctor EXPOSES Why Going Gluten-Free Isn’t Fixing Your Hashimoto’s
    2026/09/03

📌 Your Path to True Wellness Starts Here: https://f8wellness.com/

You gave up gluten because someone told you it would help your Hashimoto's. You are still tired, still losing hair, and your antibodies are still high. Removing gluten was not the wrong move, but it was never the whole plan. Most people stop at step one and never learn what step two actually is.

In this episode, I'm going to show you why going gluten free can help without getting you all the way there, and what I would look at next.

    ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS
0:00 Why gluten free stopped working
0:33 What gluten free actually fixed
    1:15 The blister analogy explained
2:36 Why you react to more foods, not fewer
3:25 Why the gut lining matters with Hashimoto's
3:58 Fixing digestion from the beginning
    5:20 Why probiotics can backfire
6:47 The nervous system and digestion connection
8:15 What I would ask before removing more food

    ❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Why is going gluten free not enough for Hashimoto's?
Gluten free removes one possible trigger, but it does not repair a gut lining that is already damaged or fix poor digestion, bacterial imbalance, or infections still keeping the immune system activated. Real progress usually requires addressing digestion at its source, not just removing one food group.

Why do I still react to new foods after cutting out gluten?
When the gut lining stays compromised, undigested material can pass through it and trigger the immune system, which can make you react to foods that never bothered you before. This pattern often gets worse over time if the underlying gut damage is never addressed directly.

Should I take a probiotic to heal my gut after going gluten free?
Not necessarily. If there is already bacterial overgrowth or an infection present, adding more bacteria through a probiotic can sometimes make symptoms worse until the underlying imbalance is addressed first.

  • Before You Increase Your Thyroid Medication, Check These 4 Things
    2026/08/27

📌 Your Path to True Wellness Starts Here: https://f8wellness.com/

How many times has your doctor raised your thyroid dose before you started wondering if the dose was ever really the problem? There is a lot more to thyroid care than increasing the prescription every time you feel bad. Most people never get their conversion, ferritin, or antibodies checked before another dose increase gets ordered. Getting this wrong means months of waiting on a change that was never going to fix you, while the real cause of your symptoms goes untreated.

In this episode, I'm going to walk through the four things I would check before changing your thyroid medication dose.

    ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS
0:00 Before You Increase Your Thyroid Medication, Check These 4 Things
    0:16 Are you converting T4 into T3
    1:20 Free T4 free T3 and reverse T3 explained
2:07 Why ferritin gets missed on standard labs
3:22 The ferritin and thyroid feedback loop
5:56 Could something else cause your symptoms
7:54 How Hashimoto's flares destabilize your numbers
8:22 The four questions to ask your doctor
9:10 What to do before your next appointment

    ❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What should I check before increasing my thyroid medication?
Ask your doctor to check free T4, free T3, ferritin, and thyroid antibodies before raising the dose, since any of these can explain persistent symptoms without needing more hormone. Many patients get dose increases for years without any of these markers ever being tested.

Can low ferritin cause thyroid symptoms even with normal hemoglobin?
Yes, ferritin and hemoglobin are different markers, and low ferritin alone can cause fatigue, hair loss, brain fog, and heart palpitations that mimic hypothyroidism. Standard bloodwork often misses this because ferritin is rarely ordered alongside a basic thyroid panel.

Why do my thyroid labs keep changing even though my dose has not?
An active Hashimoto's flare can change how much thyroid hormone enters your bloodstream, making your TSH move even when your medication stays the same. This is one of the most overlooked reasons people get put on unnecessary dose adjustments.

  • STOP Celebrating a Lower TSH. Your Hashi’s May Be Getting Worse.
    2026/08/20

📌 Your Path to True Wellness Starts Here: https://f8wellness.com/

Your TSH went down. Your doctor said your thyroid is improving. But you feel worse than ever. More anxious, wired, unable to sleep, your heart racing. That disconnect is not random and there is one explanation about Hashimoto's that most doctors never mention.

In this episode, I'm going to explain why a lower TSH does not always mean your Hashimoto's is getting better, and show you the pattern that explains why your labs and your symptoms seem to tell two different stories.

    ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS
0:00 STOP Celebrating a Lower TSH. Your Hashi’s May Be Getting Worse.
0:41 How TSH normally responds to thyroid medication
1:23 The part about lower TSH most people miss
1:43 Why your thyroid is more than a hormone factory
2:15 How Hashimoto's flares damage the hormone tank
2:51 Why the leak makes bloodwork look better temporarily
3:22 The Hashimoto's roller coaster explained
4:06 Self check, has your pattern looked like this
5:11 What real thyroid improvement should look like
6:08 Exact questions to ask your doctor next visit

    ❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Q: Why did my TSH improve but I feel worse with Hashimoto's?
A: A lower TSH can mean your medication is working, but with Hashimoto's it can also mean stored hormone is spilling out of thyroid tissue damaged during an immune flare. That spike is temporary and often followed by a drop in thyroid function once the flare settles.

Q: Why does my thyroid dose keep getting changed up and down?
A: This swinging pattern often happens because bloodwork is caught during different phases of a Hashimoto's flare cycle, not because your thyroid is truly unpredictable. Comparing your TSH with free T4, free T3, antibodies, symptoms, and past labs gives a clearer picture than one isolated result.

Q: What does real thyroid improvement look like with Hashimoto's?
A: Real improvement looks stable, not dramatic, with your dose becoming more consistent and your energy, sleep, and body temperature normalizing gradually. Your bloodwork should tell one consistent story instead of swinging between hyperthyroid and hypothyroid symptoms.
