Alison is a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist from Brantford, Ontario where she operates a small group practice. In addition to working with her clients, women in peri-menopause and high-achieving perfectionists, Alison enjoys working with her fellow therapists. Through her company, The Practice Companion, Alison provides clinical supervision, programs, workshops and products as well as offering her knowledge of clinical and business best practices to support her group practice owner colleagues as a Fractional Clinical Director. She loves working with therapists to support learning about things we didn’t learn in school such as documentation and admin, and also supporting therapists at all stages of their career to think about the impact of the work on themselves and to learn how to work smarter, not harder. Alison is the mother of three young men she has raised with her husband Fred. Her newest hobby is taming Ruby the wild Bernedoodle puppy.
