Blakie Sahay (she/her) BA, BscOT., MEd., is an occupational therapist, psychotherapist, and mindfulness facilitator. She holds certifications in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for anxiety and depression management, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for chronic stress and chronic health conditions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and various trauma-informed approaches. At the Centre for Mindfulness Studies (Toronto, Canada), Blakie facilitates mindfulness-based group programs for mental health and overall health and wellness, develops course curriculums and delivers professional development programs. She also has the honour of mentoring new mindfulness facilitators-in-training. She provides tailored mindfulness-based workshops for various organizations and businesses from community-based groups to universities and large corporations. Blakie has a private occupational therapy practice working with veterans and first responders with mental health, trauma and/or addictions challenges. She is also a certified yoga teacher and is currently a student in a 2-year Community Dharma Teacher Training program with True North Insight. She is a parent to two really funny kids and a really silly dog. She also sits on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies.
