このコンテンツについて
Since starting The Father’s Advocate, I’ve taken a deep dive into the world of father’s rights, not necessary from a legal perspective. But rather, I wanted to see what fathers were saying and experiencing when it came to asserting their rights. So, I started researching fathers’ rights organizations, looking at social media posts and pages, reading blogs, comments, and watching tons of videos about fathers’ rights. And I’ve learned allot, but it’s not all good.
For me, it’s quite disappointing and frustrating because I’ve dedicated the mass majority of my career representing fathers. And most of the comments from those blogs, video, and other social media outlets have been nothing short of negative – bashing single mothers, batching the court system, and batching attorneys and judges. Interestingly enough, what I’ve found to be a common thread was that the negative attitudes and dispositions were based primarily out of emotions, anger, and ignorance.
Are the emotions, anger and even ignorance justified? Maybe. But for me, the questions to ask are: who is to blame and what can be done to fix the problem. Because finger-pointing is not the solution, something more has to be done.
Starting today, The Father’s Advocate’s new mission is not only to represent fathers’ rights but also to heal broken families. Please stay with us as we take this journey to reunite fathers with their children and heal families.
